Kaya's P.O.V

As Octavia and walked through the woods, I was listening to the meeting.

"Okay, let's get this meeting started. Welcome Farm Station's own Monty Green and factory girl Zoe Monroe as we begin our next crucial phase: expansion and salvation, and this will lead the way," I heard Pike say.

"Dirt?" Zoe asked him.

"Soil. Fertile, arable soil. Vastly more rich than anything we've found since landing. We'll clear the trees and plant within the month," Pike tells her.

"We start with soybeans and corn. They grow the fastest," I heard Hannah say.

"What's wrong, Monty? Don't like corn?" I heard someone say.

"I've never had corn, actually... Is this where we're going?" I heard Monty ask.

"That's right."

"There's a village here. What about the people who live here?" Monty asked him.

"Sector four. We talked about this. The people there are not a threat," Bellamy said.

"We need that land. With the loss of Mt. Weather's resources, Arkadia will be starving in less than a year," Pike tells him.

"With all due respect sir, you still haven't answered Monty's question," Bellamy tells him.

"You know the answer. Every field must be cleared of stones before it's tilled," Pike tells Bellamy.

"We were spotted by a child so they'll be expecting us, but they lost their fighters when we took out the army. We don't expect resistance," Hannah said.

"They're Grounders. They'll resist," Monty tells her.

"Even if they don't, the Commander's message was clear. Blood must not have blood, that doesn't mean we can start taking-"

"What would you prefer, die fighting for your home or starve to death? Will you do what needs to be done for your people to survive or what?" Pike asked him.

"We'll do what needs to be done," I heard Bellamy say.

"We have to go," I tell Octavia.

I switched the radio so I could talk to my dad.

"Dad, I'm going to need Octavia's and my horse. We're going to warn the village," I tell him.

"I'll Miller take the horses to you both," Dad said.

"We'll be in a cave not too far from the river," I told him.

Octavia and I sought shelter in the cave. I told her everything I heard from the meeting. We started to sharpen out weapons to prepare for an attack. I heard walking making Octavia and I turn.

"Finally, where's out horses?" Octavia asked Miller as he came in.

"Outside. Nice to see you, too," Miller said. Octavia and I started to jog towards the horses.

"Kaya. Octavia, wait a second," Miller said, causing the two of us to stop. We turned to look at him," You actually think that a bunch of Grounders' are gonna give up their home because you asked them too?"

"If it's that or be wiped out, maybe," I tell him.

"Okay, then what if they don't leave. Then we're leading our people into an ambush. Maybe if you just talked to your brother-"

"My brother is on the wrong side," Octavia tells Miller.

"So what, then we don't even try?" Miller asked her.

"What do you think happens when Lexa finds out that Skaikru massacred another Grounder village?" Octavia asked him.

"War. More dead friends," Miller told her.

"Stop the attack," I tell him.

"Stop a war," Octavia finished before we both rushed over to the horses.

"Let's hurry," I tell her.
