It's been quite a few weeks of (Y/N) living with the Creepypastas. (Y/N) had recently been very cautious about leaving the manor or even going outside, unless it was a mission from Slenderman.
Tonight though, (Y/N) decided to take a walk in the woods alone. She had already grown a bit more used to the woods, and she began to remember where most of the trees were and places to hide from when she was training with the proxies. She wanted some time to herself to think about things, and how much she had already grown in her short time at the mansion.
She thought about her progress and how she planned to improve in the future. As she walked on, she didn't notice that she was wandering quite a distance from the mansion, and she had come to an area in which she was not familiar with.
(Y/N) kept on continuing for a while until she stopped at a riverbank and spotted a rushing river that cut through the woods and flowed in a direction towards the city. "I've never seen this river before, I must be a ways off from the mansion..." she muttered to herself, staring at the black waters that sparkled a bit from the shining stars above. "I ought head back."
She admired the sparkling of the flowing river a little while more before she turned around to head back into the trees. She quickly stopped in her tracks and her eyes widen when she saw a trail of blood lined on the ground in front of her.
It wasn't there before, was it?
How she was able to tell the substance was blood in the dark, she guessed it was her increased senses, but she did see the dark red tint of the liquid scattered on the ground and on cracked leaves. She noticed huge footprints in the dirt that led westwards, so something must have passed by when she wasn't paying attention.
(Y/N) kneeled to the footprints in the ground and examined their huge shape. "What is it?" She muttered to herself, noting that each print had a lining of blood within it.
Beginning to feel weird by the sight and having her full of exploring, (Y/N) got up and began to quickly trek her way into the woods. She was lost, but she was sure she would be able to find her way back to the mansion eventually. After all, she was a proxy, so it should be simple, right?
A sudden quick dash of a blur in front of (Y/N) made her jump back in surprise. She quickly whipped out her knife and kept her stance in one place, looking at the direction the blur went.
"Slender should really give me a new weapon rather than a knife," she muttered to herself as she looked around, "what if this is something that can easily take me down if all I have is a petty blade?"
From the side, the bushes began to shake and (Y/N) immediately jolted her head in that direction. She waited for something to make an appearance from the bushes, yet nothing came. She was at the point of deciding to make a run for it when a foot stepped through and slammed upon the ground, causing dirt to be flung everywhere.
(Y/N) stepped backwards and watched it silently as another foot stepped through, and then the head of some creature made its way out. It was a huge stitched masked being that looked like some sort of human-bird hybrid with black fur and a big mane of feathers. The claws on its hands were long and curved and stained with blood.
(Y/N) stared in awe at this creature but slowly backed away as it looked up and made contact with her presence. She remained completely still as it 'watched' her, and it slowly began to make its way towards her. She heard low growling; the creature looked as if it was about to attack.
'I wonder if I could outrun this thing,' (Y/N) thought, deciding wether she should turn and dash for it or stay where she was. The creature was getting closer and closer as she contemplated her options, and suddenly it lashed out at her with its claws.
