The mahogany grandfather clock was glumly ticking away in hopes of shattering the silence. Every light in the house had been dimmed or turned off completely. The Chambers' household usually was a bright cheerful place; it used to be loud with excitement oozing from each of the family members. However with Coralynn gone nothing was the same.
Her bright pink throw pillows and fluffy blankets had been removed in hopes of erasing her ghostlike presence from the house. With Cora now locked up in her room all the time it was as if she had died. The only time she had ever exited was to stock up on food once again.
It was depressing to think that Cora was once a lively, lovely, elegant teenager. Thanks to a couple of horrific rumors many people thought that Cora was mentally unstable. Thanks to her sudden disappearance the rumors seemed to have been confirmed, Cora is now in rehab. The hottest Hollywood Starlet finally cracked under the pressure of being in the spotlight. The once stunning young lady had finally broken.
