With all the crap that had been going down in my life things had gotten pretty crappy and I spent as much time around my friends as they could stand. And I was sure I was on the verge of driving them nuts.
I had been hearing talk about Matt. Clair and Tony had both mentioned him. Clair and I had been friends for a long time. Elementary school I knew at least. Maybe even before then. I smiled thinking about our friendship. We had always been close. Although she did have awful taste in men. Guys were all jerks. But I didn't know I was about to find out what truly caring about someone really was.
