She avoided me. Quite literally walked out of my path in case she was already on it, headed my way. Confronting her wasn't even humanely possible, not when she didn't even meet my gaze in the canteen, not when she didn't bother with the rest of the world.
"Give me her number," I told Surya as I exited class that day, finding him with the others in the canteen. "I'm getting to her today, one way or another."
"She changed her number."
"Don't bullshit."
Surya didn't like that. Stopping in his steps, he dragged his bag to the ground. "I thought we were clear. You said you weren't interested."
"I'm not interested. I'm not. She is just... fuck, she's a drama queen. And I need to sort something out."
"You're not getting her number from me."
"I will," I spoke down to him, looked down on him. "You forget that I'm a CS student."
"What're you going to do, bug my phone for my contacts?"
I laughed. "Bug your phone. Yeah. Something like that."
