UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

What does the kingdom of God require?

The kingdom of heaven is like TREASURE HIDDEN in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and his joy went and SOLD ALL HE HAD and bought that field.

The kingdom requires everything you have.
The man invested everything he had.
He was willing to give up everything he had to a thing that worth more than any thing.

Mysteries of God are not things that are hidden from us.

REPENTANCE
John the Baptist
Repent, for the kingdom of God is near. Matthew 3:2

The Lord Jesus said: From that time Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." Matthew 4:17

Repentance- pagtalikod at pagbabago ng isip at ng buhay at pagharap sa Diyos

We need to turn away from our sins.

RIGHTEOUSNESS
THE LORD JESUS: " But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33

Seeking is an attitude. We seek means we run after God. It must to be our top priority which means God is our priority.

If God's Kingdom is your priority you have abundance in your life.
Your priority determines your provision.

Romans 14:17
The apostle Paul: " for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

Fruit of rightiousness is peace and joy.

COMMITMENT AND OBEDIENCE
THE LORD JESUS: " I MUST preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, BECAUSE THAT IS WHY I WAS SENT."
Best preparation of tommorow is the obedience of today.

We can't give ourselves another option outside of God. We have to choose to go God's way."

The power of God will work in us if we seek first the kingdom of God, obey his word, commit to His kingdom.

If you love the word of the Lord then you obey the word of God with passion. It becomes real in your life.

How to advance the kingdom of God in our lives

1. PRAY
pulling down the stronghold.
Matthew 6:9-10

This is then, is how you should pray: " Our Father in Heaven hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom Come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

You cannot advance in the kingdom of God if you are not prayerful.

When your prayers ascends to heaven the enemy's stronghold is broken.

Break the stronghold!

prayer: submitting to the authority of heaven.

The more you pray, the more you are victorious.

EXODUS 17:11-13

2. PROCLAIM
Prayer is not enough. We need to proclaim or share the words of God.
Matthew 10:6-8
Gospel changes a person.

3. PERSEVERE
bringing back the life

Matthew 4:16

If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.

Jesus is the light of the World.

Don't get tired! Never give up! Persevere!
If we are in the presence and Kingdom of God .. we will never be defeated and that it will remain forever and ever.
