As night fell, all the guys ended up at the house. It was us, Jayne, and Anne. Jayne was off being reclusive, probably avoiding me, and Anne was having and intense Black Ops match with Tony, Vic, and Jaime. Since I really only needed the guys for this announcement, I decided to just do it now.
You can't do these announcements without making an entrance, so I took off my shirt before grabbing my horse mask, a knife, and an old bottle of champagne. After adjusting my horse mask, I busted into the game room and popped the bottle open with the knife.
"WE'RE GOING ON TOOOOOUR!" I startled everyone but that soon turned to excitement while everyone jumped up and cheered. When the excitement died, I provided more details and the band made phone calls. I slipped out of the room and into my own, to see Jayne.
"Can I come in?" I peeked my head in a little and saw she was on my bed. It was almost like she expected me because all she did was nod. I came in and shut the door behind me. I sat next to her and just waited for her to speak.
"About the other night... I'm sorry. Everything you said, everything you say, about that particular subject is one hundred percent true." Her apology made me feel bad in a way and I sighed.
"Jayne, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. it's just so frustrating to know that the one and only girl you love can't move past a really stupid mistake that was made in high school." She looked at me questioningly.
"What did you just say?"
"I made a stupid mistake in high school?"
"Before that."
"I didn't mean to make you feel bad?"
"No! After that." I thought for a second and realized what I said. I didn't know if it was a good or bad thing that she was asking but I had to roll with it now.
"You're the one and only girl I love?" My voice came out quieter, timid almost. I looked away from her eyes but glanced back to see her reaction. Her eyes were sparkling and there was a small smile on her lips.
"You've never said it before."
"Well neither have you. I didn't know how you felt. I, uh, I still don't." I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly and she got the hint. She instantly came to her conclusion.
"I love you too, Michael."
Valerie's POV
I was at a little cafe with Belle when we both got simultaneous phone calls.
"Hold on, I've gotta take this." We spoke in unison and gave each other funny looks.
"Hello?" More unison and we giggled. I tuned her out so I could tune into the phone call I was having with Vic.
"Babe, great news! We're going on tour with Sleeping with Sirens!" Vic sounded really excited and so was I, don't get me wrong! But I instantly knew this meant more time apart.
"That's fantastic, Vic! How long are you gonna be gone?"
"We're just doing the US and some of southern Canada so it should only be two months."
"Wow, I'm so happy for you! look, I'm gonna come over tonight to talk to you more about this. Is that okay?"
"Yeah! I love you!"
"I love you too. Bye."
"Bye!" I hung up and Belle ended her call too. We shared this bittersweet moment together.
"I'm gonna miss Jaime." She stirred her coffee around with the thin straw and looked down with a sad smile across her face.
"And I'm gonna miss Vic. I kind of wanna go with them. You know?" Belle nodded absentmindedly which told me she was thinking. I had thoughts of my own.
