A/N: Hi! So I got bored, and this is the product of my boredom. I may not post regularly, but I'm going to post occasional one shots/short stories that mostly passes my crazy mind. I don't promise if they'll always have their HEA (Happily-Ever-After) in each story, but I hope that you'll stick with me and enjoy reading it! :) And now, I won't keep you any longer, so here's ONE SHOT #1. Please listen to the music while reading it (truly worth it). :)

~Amnesia~

3rd POV

Sitting on his leather chair, Edward turned to face the enormous glass window and stared quietly outside the busy street of Chicago. For years it was his dream come true to take charge of his parents' business. Every thing a man could ever wish for were achieved my him. Wealth, gigantic and well designed houses, prestigous cars, women throwing themselves at him, you name it. He was happy, or so that was what he thought.

His parents, Edward Sr. and Elizabeth, made great money and connections with differents states. The Masen Corporation was known in Chicago, and some other places. They owned business hotels and export computers and cellphones all over the world. After his parents reached the tender age of fifty, they decided to retire and let their only son handle the family business. Edward, being him, was willing to comply, for he wanted to follow his parents' footsteps.

Everything was perfect, well, before she arrived in his life. Edward studied in University of Chicago under business course and finished as a magna cum laude (2nd highest of Latin honors). After he graduated and had his master's degree, he always went to the Masen Building where the main office was. There, his father trained him simple things which soon grew complicated. His father wanted what was best for him, and Edward exerted his own.

In the first few weeks that he had run the business, it put a lot of pressure to him. But then his hardwork paid off after he finally understood every single aspect of their company. It was pretty huge, but he managed just fine. Edward had been a model for Armani in years which led to so many proposals. He became hot topics of every magazines with his sexy pictures on the front cover, and he was often labeled as the hottest bachelor in Chicago.

But it changed when he met this stunning, shy, and smart girl. He was twenty-eight when they bumped each other at the park. When they recovered, it was as if his world had turned upside down. He never really had time to be in a proper relationship because he was to cooped up at work. Occasional parties and clubbing would lead him to someone else's bed, but that was it. Just for a night of bliss. No strings attached.

"I'm leaving," she said, trying her best to keep the tears from falling. Although inside she was crumbling and shattering apart when those two painful words went out of her mouth. Oh how she wished to take it back.

"W-wh-what?" he finally mustered to say. Confusion and hurt washed over him when he heard her say it. He had never factored break up. He had told her that he loved her, and she did the same. So what did it mean now?

"You heard me, Edward." She bit her inside cheeks. "We're not working anymore," she forced to say out loud. Her legs felt like wobbling down the floor, and her heart was tearing into shreds.
