I touched on the messages from Gabby.
Gabby: Ali, Why aren't you at school today?
Gabby: Plz reply soon, Ms Barker is wondering where u are.
Oh sugar! I had completely forgot about school! I checked my watch. 11:47.
What should I say?
I decided to write:
Me: I slept in! Alarm didn't go off and mum had to go to work early.
I sat cross legged on my bed and waited for a reply, but none came.
After about 5 minutes, my phone bleeped, and another message came up, but this time it was from Jay.
Jay: Hey Alisha! How you been?
Me: Been good, wbu?
Jay: Alright thanks!
Me: Cool. How's school?
Jay: It's good! How's school?
Me: Yeah it's alright.
Jay: Hey, wanna come to my place tonight?
I stopped at that comment. What would I say if I went? I would have to tell Jay that we were moving.
Jay and Gabby have been my best friends ever since I moved here, to London 2 summers ago.
We moved here from Queensland Australia, because of Mums work.
Dad had moved to Kuala Lumpa when Mum and I moved to London. He moved there for his work, but is coming back to live with us in San Diego.
Anyway, I thought I wouldn't tell Jay. If he noticed I was sad, he isn't the kind of person to push me to tell him.
I finally replied to Jay.
Me: Um, Yeah sure, I'd be happy to, just gotta ask mum.
Me: I'll text u later :)
Jay: Ok sure tnx ;)
I put my phone down on my pillow, and got up and went downstairs to the kitchen.
