It was Friday night and I had just finished an Avengers movie marathon with my girls. We were blabbering on about who our favourite character was, who was the cutest and all those typically girly things you'd expect from Marvel fangirls. Amethyst made the decision that we should all sit in a circle and share our favourite person with reasons why we liked them. There were 10 of us and I was last in the circle, which gave me plenty of time.
"Okay," I cleared my throat "Jade, you are first going anti-clockwise around the circle ending on me". Everyone nodded their heads as Jade went spoke. " I have a crush on Captain America because he's so brave and handsome". Everyone went oooooh. Typical. I thought. There's no point in me listening because I know exactly who everyone is going to pick; Amber will choose T'challa, Rose will pick Thor, Pearl likes Spiderman and so on.
No-one expected who I was going to pick and I was actually kinda nervous about telling everyone my avengers crush. They all hated him, constantly asking how I found him attractive and whatnot as they all thought of him as a, and I quote, 'backstabbing, evil ass son of a bitch'.
That's when I noticed the green eyes glinting in the closet what the- but I didn't have time to finish my thought before Topaz's irritated voice interrupted. "Talia..... TALIA!" she shouted, waking me from my daze. "Yes?" I squeak as if in trouble.
"It's your turn to share your avengers' crush" She smirked.
"Oh right well, here goes nothing," I say, murmuring the last bit to myself. "I like Loki because he is so unpredictable and mischievous" I spoke, keeping my eyes locked on the glittering emerald ones staring straight back at me from the wardrobe. The mysterious face moved into view as everyone in the room began to scream and shout at me. I couldn't hear them though as the stranger had my full attention. The mouth, which I could now see, curled upward into a mischievous grin. A gasp escaped my throat and a light blush adorned my cheeks as I realized the stranger is actually someone I know quite well... Too well.
