It's a new day, evidenced by the sun shining through your window, the birds chirping happily, and your obnoxiously loud phone alarm labelled as "MY FIRST DAY!!" This was it. You've always wanted to work here, and what luck! You've managed to snatch the last open position. You put on a white long sleeved shirt and black slacks, combing your hair neat enough to not look like you just woke up, but messy enough to give off "yeah, I'm cool." vibes. Or, at least you hoped it did.

You got into your car, dropping by a little cafe to get some coffee. With caffeine now flowing through your veins, you headed off to your dream job. You pulled over in the employees' parking, taking one last glance at the direction of your apartment. You can't turn back now.

Steeling yourself, you walked towards the glass doors. The faint sounds of cheerful, yet cheesy, music and the joyful banter of children was already audible. You could practically smell the sweat and grease from a few feet away. You heaved a deep breath, listening to the busy city noises as your shoes clack on the concrete. This is it. This is it. You arrived in front of the double doors. The  children you heard were now visible as well, running around, throwing pizza while their mothers chat to themselves, only sparing glances when a child yelps from the impact of a pizza slice. Suddenly, your dream workplace turned into a nightmare. This is going to be hell.

You took a few steps back, slowly preparing yourself for your shift, and gazed up at the cartoon sign hanging over the door. The characters' bright eyes looking down upon you, a friendly wave turning into a hand poised to strike. You braced yourself. You've come this far, why stop now? Heaving a sigh, you head inside of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

If the smells didn't hit you before, they totally did now. You didn't think it was that loud before you entered, but now the screams of children and the blaring music are nearly deafening. Arcade machines blared their own music, layering over each other, creating a chiptune cacophony. A child slipped on a greasy pizza slice that he threw a while back, and you laughed at said child. Haha, what a dumbass.  A person in the company uniform walked over to you, bearing a tired expression lightly masked by a (semi-forced) cheerful smile.

"Hello there, dear patron! I'm Kato, and welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza! A magical place for kids and grownups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Are you here with your children?"

You stared at Kato for a few seconds, before responding that you were in fact an employee, and you were hired over the phone. You continued to stare at them for a while before Kato shrugged nonchalantly and led you over to the manager's office.

"This is the manager's office. You'll have to speak to him first, then you can get your uniform. Afterwards, you can go change in the break room, then head off straight to work. If you need me, I'll be by the front doors again, but if it's really important you should speak to Mr. Afton. See ya!"

Kato darted over to the front doors just as another group of patrons arrived. You left them to do their whatever it is their job entails as you went into the office. The chair in the office spun quickly, before abruptly stopping to have the back facing you.

"You know, it's rude to enter without knocking." The manager said with a smooth voice. He spoke with in a low tone, his British accent causing blood to flow to your cheeks. Holy shit, his voice is kinda hot.

Your blood ran cold, you felt a shiver down your spine. Despite that, you felt warm inside. It felt like home... if home were a dusty office that smelled heavily like grease and cheap air freshener, which a tinge of cranberry juice, for some reason. The dreary sunrise  cast dramatic shadows over the room, making the whole scene look like something from a movie or a visual novel or something. Maybe a dating sim.

"What brings you here, my dear?" He said as he turned slightly, a smug grin present on what you could see of his face. "Some sort of dare? Feeling desperate, hm?"

You shifted uncomfortably. He turned so that he fully faced you now. The room's dim lighting cast shadows across his features, letting you see the beauty in his perfect, punchable face.

"Or perhaps you're looking for something. Tell me, what is it you seek to find, (Y/N)?"

"H-How do you-"

"I'm your manager, (Y/N). I'm supposed to know things about my employees." He said in a teasing, condescending tone. You felt your chest tighten, your heart racing, and your face heating up. The manager laughed and smirked proudly at you, leaning back in his chair.

"Hm. It doesn't matter. Not right now. For now, let me introduce myself. I am William Afton, but you may call me Mr. Afton. And I welcome you, to Freddy Fazbear's."

He held out his hand in a confident manner, his everlasting smirk still present on his face. You shook his hand, and your hand kinda hurt from his tight grip. He handed you your new uniform and some keys.

"Those go to the break room. You can go change in there. No one's watching, I promise. Enjoy your stay, (L/N). Now. Let's get back to work."

So, this is it, huh? Your new day, at your new job. You quickly put on your uniform, and walk out into the party room. The kids were as loud as ever, and the parents as uncaring as they've always been. Despite having to deal with other people's gremlins for eight hours, you think you might come to like your new job.

"(Y/N)! Some kid puked in the ballpit, go clean it up!"

Sigh. This is going to be a rough first week.
