Chapter 4. This Place Is Death

We find this guy in the jungle with his back towards us. Sawyer and I get our weapons ready.

Sawyer says, "Turn around slowly"

He turns around and its Jin.

"Jin?" I say

"Hayley? Sawyer?" He says

"Jin!" Sawyer says

Sawyer runs down there to hug him. They both start laughing and I give Jin a hug too.

I say, "You were on the boat. We thought you were dead!"

"No, no, I...in water," Jin says

Sawyer hits his arm, "What do you say?" 

Jin looks around and asks "Where is Sun?"

Sawyer smile and mine, fade away.

We are trying the explain to Jin whats happening

"Every time the sky lights up, we...move through time," I say using hand gestures  

Jin says something it Korean.

He goes to Charlotte and says, "Translate. Please, translate"

Sawyer looks at Miles and says "You heard the man, translate"

"Uh, he's Korean. I'm from Encino" Miles says 

Jin tells Charlotte something in Korean.

"He wants to know how you're sure his wife is off this island," Charlotte says looking a Locke

"Tell him I'm sure. But none of it will matter if we don't mate it to The Orchid"  Locke says

Charlotte translates it back.

"Bring Sun back?" Jin says

Locke nods.

"Why you bring her back?"

"Because she should never have left"

We aren't so far from The Orchid when there's another flash, the flashes tend to give you a pretty bad headache.

It's now dark out.

"Come on!" Sawyer yells 

There's another flash.

It's light out now.

Charlotte faints again.

Mine, Sawyer, and Juliet's noses start to bleed a little, which is not a good sign.

"Charlotte, it's Daniel. Talk to me."

She starts saying something to Jin in Korean.

"What'd she say?" Sawyer asks Jin

"Don't let them bring her back. No matter what. Don't let them bring her back. This place is death." Charlotte says 

Charlotte keeps saying random things.

Once again another flash.

Daniel is going to stay here with Charlotte while we go to The Orchid.

Before we leave she says, " Look for the well. You'll find it at the well"

We find The Orchid.

Juliet says, "Thank god. What are the odds we'd end up at the same time as this thing?" 

Just as Juliet says that there's another flash.

It's gone.

But behind us, there is a well. 

"How the hell did Charlotte know this was here?" I say

Locke starts pulling on the rope.

"What exactly are you hoping to find?" Sawyer asks

"A way off the island" Locke replies

"Expecting a subway?" Sawyer says

"Goodbye, James. Hayley. Juliet. Miles. I"ll see you when I get back"

"No. Stop. You don't bring Sun back " Jin says

"No, I have to bring them all back. That's how it works" 

"How you know?" Jin says

"I just know"

Jin grabs the rope and says, "I'll cut this"

"Do that, you'll kill every one of us"

"This island is bad. You don't bring Sun back. Promise! You promise you don't bring my baby!"

"All right. You have my word"

He lets go rope.

"I won't go to Sun, Jin, but she might find me. If she does, what do I tell her?"

"You tell her I'm dead. You say I wash up. You bury me."

He gives Locke his wedding ring.

"Proof," Jin says 

"I'll be back as soon as I can."

Locke climbs into the well and grabs the rope and starts to lower himself down.

Then another flash. Sawyer grabs the rope.

But when it's over there's no well, just a rope in the ground. 

Sawyer is still holding the rope.

Miles says, "I think you can let go of that now."

"No...No! No! No!"

He starts freaking out, trying to dig around the rope

"James....stop" Juliet says

"Come on, help me!"

She bends down and places her hand on his shoulder.

"James. We can't help him."

He relaxes.

Miles points out a giant stone statue in the distance.

Then there's another flash but it was definitely different, like an earthquake almost.

The well is back but its covered.

I say, "My headache gone"

Miles says, "Yeah, mine is too. And my nose isn't bleeding anymore"

"I think it's over, I think John did it," Juliet says
