I woke up to hear my phone ringing, and knew instantly it was my mother, from the personalized ring tone. I looked around until I finally found the cold phone, then pressed ignore. She's the last person I want to talk to. I look at my dirty skinny jeans and my Sleeping With Sirens shirt that was covered in dirt and leaves, along with my white converse that had been covered in mud, so they no longer were clear, but rather a dark brown. My long black hair had been thrown into a messy bun last night., but was now even worse and had a few leaves in it from passing out on the ground.

I attempted to go over what happened last night, but all I can remember is sneaking out and away from my mother. I also remember sneaking into the Cirque Du Freak show because I had no other place to hide at the time. I slightly remember getting caught by Mr. Tall and all the questions he asked me.

As I looked around and saw nothing but trees, I got up and walked to the closest clearing I could find. Realizing I was just outside the show peoples tent and other set up, I was kinda worried about them contacting my mother. Luckily, everyone was running around trying to pack up so they didnt notice me. At least not till I moved further around the edge of the trees. Mr.Tall then spotted me and slowly walked over, the thought of running went through my mind for a millisecond before I realized running would do me no good. Not to mention the fact that I don't run. Like, ever.

"What are you doing here?" He asked once he was close enough. I knew he would recognize me, but that didn't mean I would think he would see me. I thought I would be away from here by the time he would have the chance. Oh well, I guess.

"Nothing. Just watching," I said, trying to stand tall and seem brave when truthfully I wanted to get away as fast as possible. This guy knew too much about me and I did not like it at all. "Is there a problem?"

"Well first you sneak into my show too young to even get a ticket, then you, again, show up at my campground at six a.m." He replied. "Normal tennagers dont do that kind of stuff."

"Seeing how last night u knew so much that shouldnt surprise you" i exclaimed relizing he isnt as scary as some people would think. "im not like any tennager i know other than one person!" the look he gave me was understanding and that just confused and agravated me.

"i know mai, trust me." he said. trust him? yea right! but wat does he all know? that i have wings? not possible. right?

"how do you know my name? you never awnsered me last night." i asked him, getting mader by the second. i was no longer scarred of the man that everyone called creepy. i was iritated.

"i know everything about you." he said looking at me as if i was a five year old. "i know your name is mai, your best friend is sabrina, your both 15, neither of you are normal, and you hate your mother so you ran away to come here. hopeing you would find something but you didnt."

i turned away the second he mentioned bri. i wasnt normal but she wasnt either and no one but us knew about it. how does mr.tall? bri grew up a foster child. living on scraps and dirty water. her older siblings treated her like crap. but the real story was she was a neko. in japan that meant half cat half human. so her nickname was cat woman, but mine was pegasis because of my dark black wings. we didnt call each other that to make fun of each other, only cuse we could and everyone thought those were just our crazy nicknames. even though no one liked us cuse i had anger issues and she was just a flat out bitch. but minor detail. and how did he know the stuff about my mom? i did hate her but only because ever seince dad died i was only just another thing for her to torture. she always whaked me and she has broken both my wings multiple times. and she was always causing me trouble. i have hated her for the past 5 years. my dad died in a horse riding accident and ever sience, horses and bri are the only things i can relate or talk to.
