He's Gone

The next day was my doctors appointment, it went well, the doctor took X-rays, an ultrasound, radiation stuff/MRI or whatever it's called and said that he would have the results tomorrow. Most of the day had gone by and I was quite tired, being at the doctors took up most of my day. I made myself a snack... It was just Tyler and I sat down and watched some Dexter. We sat and ate apples and peanut butter. Wes and Keats were in a special meeting with Drew and the management. Lately drew hasn't been around, I just wondered what was going on. I just shrugged it off. Tyler and I watched about 2 episodes of Dexter. That's when I got a call from Wes.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey Lilly, how was the doctors?" Wes said

"Good, I will find out what's wrong tomorrow."

"That's cool, I hope everything is fine, do you and Tyler wanna meet up with Keats and I at chipotle?"

"Sure! What time?"

"5:00 (pm)"

"Ok see you soon!"

We said our byes and hung up the phone, in 30 mins we were going to meet up a chipotle. So I through on some decent clothing and told Tyler to get ready. We then hopped into the car, and drove off. I finally let Tyler play his music and just chilled to the beats. I was really tired for some reason, I just wanted to eat and then sleep. But of course u couldn't do that so I just drove. Once we arrived I got off and new something was wrong. Wes and Keats didn't look as happy as usual.

"Hey" I said giving Wes a hug.

"Hey.." Wes said back, his voice trailing away.

I walked over to Keaton and simply said hi, and hugged him. He hugged me back a way a person how wanted to be held would hug someone, I knew something wasn't right.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Yeah are you guys alright?" Tyler agreed.

"Uh, yea we will tell you inside." Wes said, Keaton just looked down and stayed silent. We walked inside and ordered our food, we then sat down. And we were all silent.

"So, We had a meeting today.." Wes said.

"Continue..." Tyler said taking a bite of his food.

"Well, Drew is making his own decisions and well, Drew is leaving the band."

"Woah, what?" I said

"Yup, he is done with the band." Wes said.

"What no! what about fireside?" I asked

"well we are still touring but we are going to sell the tickets and then tell all the emblems that he is leaving." Wes said.

"Oh I'm so sorry," I said

"Yea it's alright." Wes said

Keaton stayed silent the whole entire time, he wasn't ok about this. I could tell. I didn't want to address it in public, I wanted to wait until we got home. The whole time the conversation was awkward and we pretty much just ate in silence. I felt bad, I didn't know what really happened between the boys, but I could tell that there was a reason for all this, and it wasn't just because Drew wanted change.

After we were done eating, we headed home.

"Man, I feel bad." Tyler said

"Me too, something about this is depressing Keaton, I'm not sure what though." I said

"Ok, I wasn't the only one who notice that." Tyler said.

We rode the rest of the way home in silence and once we got home. The boys were already there. We walked in and Wes just sitting on the couch.

"Where is Keats?" I asked Wes

"His room." Wes replied.

I walked over to his room, and slowly open the door.

"Hey bud, you ok?" I asked

Keaton was just sitting at the edge of his bed, head down.

I sat next him, and grabbed his hand so I could hold it. He held my hand back and I laid my head on his shoulder. After a min or to he got up and whipped his eyes, I didn't realize he was crying.

"Gosh I'm so fucking sorry, I have let the fans down, and I just can't take it." Keaton said.

"It's not your fault." I said assuring him.

"God the fans are going to hate me!" He said.

"No they won't, Keaton. They will love you for just doing what you love, you don't need drew, you have had what you needed the whole time." I said.

He hugged me, tight, I loved his hugs. He kissed me on the forehead and whispered "thankyou..." And I just continued to hug him as he was hugging me.

Keaton let go, and looked like he had just came up with the greatest idea ever.

"What?" I asked

"Say what you told me just a second ago." Keaton said.

"They will love you for just doing what you love, you don't need Drew, you have had what you needed the whole time."

"Oh my gosh I got it." Keaton said

running out of the room yelling for Tyler to come to the 'studio'.

That night Keaton wrote the song "Do What You Love" with Tyler and was going to record it tomorrow. At this point I was tired and just went to bed. It was 2am and I felt someone snuggling up to me I woke up and turned around, Keaton.

"What are you doing?" I asked

"Sleeping with you.." Keaton said

"Why?" I asked

"I'm just doing what I love." Keaton said with a smile.

I just laughed softly, and laid back down. I snuggled up in his arms and just appreciated what I had.
