I thought it was over

Chapter 5

Taylor was breathing ok, so we don't have to worry that much. Her heart rate was fine. She had a bandage on her head. She had a cast around her right arm and right leg. What a hard fall. The nurse left out that she broke her arm and leg.

A doctor walked into the room and escorted me and my mom out. We sat on a bench outside of the room.
"Do u know this Nicholas guy?" my mom asked.
"Barely all I know is that he's a jerk." I replied
"Why would he push her down the stairs?" my mom said with a tear almost rolling down her cheek.
"I don't know." I quickly replied.
" I'm going to go talk to the doctor. you stay out here." my mom said standing up.
I nodded.

The room beside Taylor had people siting outside on a bench. It had two brunette boys. They looked like twins. why not socialize.

"Hey, I'm Jessica!" I said as I approached them.

"Hey. I'm Toby." One of them turned around and said. His eyes sparkled in the light of the room. He smiled at me and I smiled back.
" I'm Tyler." the other one said. All three of us were looking at each other.

"I pretty much know everyone in this small town. I'm surprised I've never seen you two!" I said with a smirk.

"well we just moved here. We are soon going to be attending the high school down the road." Toby said while Tyler nodded.

"Seriously?"
they both nodded.

"I go there. along with my twin sister." I added with a smile.
They both smiled back.
"Well we better go. But I'll see you at school. maybe you can show us around!" Toby said staring right at me.

"Ok, see you guys." I answered
They both sat back down and I walked towards the bench I was sitting on earlier.

Next thing I knew my mom came out of the room with the doctor. She was crying.
I stood up and ran towards her.

"Mom? are you ok?"
"Mom? why are you crying?"
She continued sobbing, and then looked at me with a tear rolling down her cheek.
