"Are you sure about this? This is your last opportunity to back out."

"100% sure."

"Okay then. Let's start with the beginning. Everything started when....."

I sit in front of Shawn with my legs crossed. I take a deep breathe and start my story. "Everything started when I was in Junior Year, we came back from Winter vacations, and we had a new exchange student. They assigned me the guy to show him around and you know explain how the school worked. Anyway the guy was named Harry and he was from London, his dad got transferred, so his entire family moved in. Harry and I became really good friends, and eventually we started dating. We dated for a year and four months, he was my highschool sweetheart. We had everything planned, we were gonna study college together and then get married. Stupid teenage fantasy. Anyway we both applied for Yale and we got in."

"You got in Yale?!"

"Yeah! Don't act all surprised, I'm more than just a pretty face." I smirk.

"And what happened?"

"Well, we had everything ready for Yale, when his Dad got transfered again back to London. Harry had planned to stay here in United States, but his Dad didn't like the idea. So he tried literally everything to get his son back, he even got him a great scholarship at the Cambridge University. Obviously his father won, Harry decided to leave, but promised me we were still gonna be together. We still went to prom together, but as soon as prom was over he went to London to prepare everything. The first two weeks we kinda talked, by the end of the third week we didn't talked at all. So we broke up. We stayed as friends, and promised to get together as soon as we finished college. He was my first heart break. I took it really bad, I got really depressed, and I decided I didn't want to go to Yale. So my brother told me to go with him to NYU, he helped me get my papers in and I got accepted, and I moved in with Jen. And it turned out really great, I got to go to college with my bestfriends and brother, and I'm doing great in NYU. It's a great college too. Anyway returning to the story, I started college there, and I met a couple of guys who asked me out. But neither of them passed the second date. Just this one guy I dated for 3 months, but he isn't important. So time passed, and it had been nearly 2 years since Harry had left. Harry and I still talked to eachother from time to time, we had an on and off relationship. Sometimes he came to see me, or other times I went to London to visit him. One day I bumped with this guy, who turned out to be Harry's best friend. We remembered each other from highschool, but we never interacted that much when we were in highschool. We started talking and the next thing I knew, we were good friends. One day this guy came to me and asked me to be his girlfriend. At first I said no, and I told him I didn't think Harry will be okay with it. But he told me that he had already spoken to Harry and he was okay with it. I got really mad at Harry, and I decided to say yes to being his girlfriend. I don't know why I thought, that would make Harry jealous and he would've come running to rescue me. We started dating, but I just saw the guy as a friend, he was really nice, and he treated me well, but we didn't have any chemistry. We had our first fight on our 4 month anniversary, we fought because....." I stay quiet and look down. I don't if I should keep talking to Shawn about this. I mean we just met!

"What happened? Are you alright?" Shawn asks me touching my shoulder.

"Why am I telling you this? I mean with all due respect, but we just met a week ago. And here I am telling you my deepest stuff." I say looking at him straight in the eyes.

"Look I understand if you don't want to tell me, and I'm okay with it. I just saw you upset and I thought that if you talked it out you'll feel better. You can trust me Emma, and believe me I know we just met, but you can trust me. Look if it makes you feel better, I feel the same way. I know maybe for you giving your phone or your address isn't a big thing, but for me it is. I can't just tell everyone my phone number and address due to my career. When I told Andrew he flipped. But although I just met you, I trusted you." He tells me with a sincere smile and then he touches my hand.
