Please do not skip the Prologue! Part 1 of the Prologue sets up how the kids got into the game, part 2 establishes ground rules, and part 3 adds a motive, more rules, and a death.

1) This book is complete!

2) TW: there is a LOT of gore and psychological trauma in this fic, especially in the second half! Please stay safe and don't read if this makes you uncomfortable/is your trigger! C*tting and s*icide/s*icidal th*ughts also show up more than once in the second half of the fic.

3) You know how in the Danganronpa games, there are game chapters? I format this book like that. So there's about 5 parts for each single chapter/1 case per chapter.

4) Mineta is replaced by Shinsou. Say he got transferred in right after the Sports Festival.

Also, Shinsou is Aizawa and Hizashi's adopted son because why not? It gives him some sort of backstory for me to bounce off of. However it has only been mentioned twice throughout the whole fic. It's a super minor thing but I wanted to slip it in because I love erasermic,,

5) All cases are written by me! And since I wrote this fic over the span of 2 years the earlier cases are pretty bad compared to, say, the last and second to last cases. My personal favorites are Chapter 7 and 8.

6) When I first started this fic in 2018, for some reason I decided to give Jirou and Iida heterochromia. Jirou has indigo and red eyes, and Iida dark blue and red. I'm pretty sure I just liked the idea of mismatched eyes design-wise because I thought it was "quirky/unique/cool" and ngl heterochromia is pretty, but the creative liberty in this fic with it is mostly unneeded and just serves to make them look iconic in a killing game. 2 years later, with the entire fic completed, I don't feel like going back and changing it because of how much of a hassle it would be, so I suppose we'll all just have to accept it lol
