Chapter 26 -A
Ella's POV
I wake up what seems pretty early and confirm that when I look at my phone and it says 8:18. Not wanting to disturb Austin I stay where I am and just play games on my phone. After doing that for about 30 minutes I get bored and get up to go to the front to pick out an outfit for the day. I go through my stuff and settle on a floral tank top and a pair of white shorts. I throw my hair into a side braid and put on my necklace and earrings.
Once finished getting ready I walk around to the back and see that Austin is still sound asleep. Since it is 9 o'clock I decide it is the perfect time to wake up the sleeping boy.
"Austin! Wake up!" I yell and shake him.
"What do you want?" He asks in a tired tone.
"It's time to get up I'm hungry." I reply to him and he rolls over.
"It's only 9:07 in the morning." He says glancing at his phone the shuts his eyes again.
"Ok fine if you want me to be the one to drive, don't get up." I say knowing that'll get his attention, and I was right.
"Fine I'm up." He says and sits up quickly, tiredness not showing on his face much anymore.
"I knew that'd get you up." I laugh and he gives me a stare down, before cracking a smile. "Come on get dressed we need to eat before we go skydiving."
"Fine. Can you go get my stuff for me?" He asks.
"I guess so." I say and go to retrieve his suitcase from the front.
I go back around carrying his bag and when I get to the back I see that he is lying down with his eyes closed again.
"Austin get up!" I yell and he sits up laughing. "What's so funny?" I ask him.
"I just love your reaction to thinking I was sleeping again." He says still laughing.
"You're not very nice. Now please get dressed I'll be in the front waiting, ready to go." I tell him.
"I'll be there in at most ten minutes." He promises and I walk to the front for what feels like the 100th time today.
When he's finally ready he comes and sits in the driver's seat.
"You ready?" He asks.
"Yep. Now let's go." I say and he starts the car.
We stop for breakfast and soon we are driving out to Lingleville, a small rural area, where we'll be skydiving. It only takes us about 30 minutes to get to the place, and I can tell that Austin is excited just by looking at the expression on his face.
We get checked in and soon we are in the plane getting ready to go flying. The view from in the sky is amazing, like nothing you would've imagined. Everything looks so small, but very beautiful. You look out the window and can see for miles.
"We've gotta get hooked up to jump." One of the people on the plane says.
We all get situated and soon we jump. Just so Austin and I'll be safe, we jump with someone on our backside.
Going through the air is exhilarating. You feel like you are going to plummet to the ground when really you are so high up anxd chances of that happening are very slim. I'm falling and watching as the ground gets closer and closer, until the yellow cord gets pulled and the parachute is deployed and I'm safely trailing to the ground.
My person and I get to the ground and we see Austin and his person coming to the ground slowly.
"How was that?" Austin asks when we get all of the equipment off of us.
"Amazing! Falling through the air was so exhilarating!" I exclaim.
"You ready to go get some dinner?" He asks and suddenly my stomach growls.
"Yes definitely." I tell him and we leave.
We end up going to a local diner called Cal's for dinner. Austin gets a burger, fries, and a large root beer and I get the same except I get a chocolate milkshake. It tastes delicious and when we're finished Austin orders us a banana split to share.
"I'm stuffed!" I tell Austin after finishing the ice cream.
"You about ready to find somewhere to sleep for the night?" He asks getting up to pay.
"Oh definitely." I glance over at the large clock mounted on the wall. "It's coming up to 9:30 anyways."
"Ok well I'll go pay, then we can go find somewhere to sleep." He tells me.
Soon we are getting into the truck. It's not difficult for us to find a place to stop for the night and soon we are setting up for bed.
"I had fun today." I tell Austin getting settled into my makeshift bed.
"So did I." He says. "I'm excited for the next few days and all the activities we'll be doing."
"So am I." I yawn. "Goodnight Austin." I say with a smile.
"Goodnight Ella." He says and we go to sleep.
(A/N: They went skydiving! That sounds so exciting, considering I've never gone before. Dedication to Miss_nerdy22 for the idea of skydiving. So this was day three of seven days of their road trip. In the next chapter they'll be tackling not one, not two, but three items on the list! How exciting! Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and until next time!
