chapter 14

Jimin walked into the school. He was a MAN ON A MISSION. To say Jimin was just annoyed with whatever was going on between Taehyung and Jungkook is an understatement. He can't take it! It's pissing him off that his two best friends aren't even talking to each other, and fucking over what?

So when Jimin sees Taehyung he grabs his hand and starts pulling him to where Jungkook should be. "What the fuck-" Taehyung starts but can tell Jimins not listening. Jimin walks over to Jungkooks locker, where he's getting stuff for his next class. As soon as Taehyung and Jungkook see each other, Jungkook tries to rush and get out of there.

"Oh no you don't!" Jimin shouts grabbing Jungkook by the arm. Jungkook shouts protests and but Jimin doesn't listen. He goes to the bathroom and makes sure nobody's inside. Then he pushes them both in. "You're not leaving until you solve whatever's going on between you two. Now hurry up you got three minutes." he says before closing the door.

Jungkook and Taehyung both watch the door close before looking at each other. Jungkook quickly looks away.

This is so awkward oh god Jungkook thinks. He looks at Taehyung one more time and their gazes meet, before Jungkook heads for the door. He knew Jimin was gonna be out there, but he's tiny so Jungkook will just move him out of his way. But before he could Taehyung grabbed his hand. "Why are you mad at me?"

Jungkook felt himself get sad. He wasn't mad at Taehyung at all. He never wanted it to look that way. But he's been ignoring him for a week now because he's such a coward, of course it'd look that way. "I'm not mad at you." he replies quietly. He pulls his hand away from Taehyung. "I'm not stupid Jungkook." he says with a scowl. Oh god he doesn't believe him. And he's getting pissed off and Jungkook can't deal with Taehyungs anger pointed at him.

"I promise i'm not!" Jungkook tries to convince. Taehyung was about to say something again about how Jungkooks lying, but sees the honest look in his eyes. He tries to think of something else to say. "Then why are you ignoring me?" He chooses to ask. Jungkook lets out a long sigh. Taehyung deserves an explanation. And he deserves to know why Taehyung kissed him back.

This is just what would happen eventually. "Do you remember what happened the night we got drunk?" Jungkook asked, for once meeting his eyes. "Yeah I think." Taehyung said. "Like everything?"

"Is this about the kiss?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook froze. He tried to speak but words wouldn't come out, and his mouth suddenly felt so dry. "Because if it is you don't have to worry. I know it didn't mean anything. You were drunk and I was drunk we should just forget about it." he said with a smile.

The smile used to make him so happy, making him want to smile too. But now it just made him feel like he was getting stabbed in the heart.

Wow so it really meant nothing to him huh?

Fuck Jungkook felt pathetic. Like a complete idiot for thinking Taehyung could even like him. He hated himself so much, he had to fall in love with his best friend of all people? His eyes were stinging and tears were sitting on the edge, waiting to fall. Jungkook tried to hold them in as best as he can.

I can't cry in front of him. Come on you can't look weak –

"Jungkook?"

God you're so stupid. You just had to ruin everything.

"Hey are you alright?" Jungkook forces the tears down. "It meant something to me though." He said. "What?" he asked shocked. "I said the kiss meant something to me!" Jungkook yelled. He didn't mean to yell but he was just so frustrated and hurt.

"I kissed you because I wanted to! I've been in love with you for years and i'm always afraid to tell you because you could reject me and it'll ruin our friendship. You're so clueless and I never know if you're showing signs or if you just like messing with me. And when we were drunk I just stopped thinking about all the what if's and just went for it. I couldn't talk to you because every time I tried I just saw you from that night. With your stupid face and stupid pretty eyes and your stupid lips I just–" Jungkook words got caught in his throat and he couldn't say anymore.

He was scared to look at Taehyung but he did it anyways. He didn't care anymore. Taehyung has his mouth open, he was obviously shocked. "I-I, I love you too." he said. Jungkooks eyes widened. "You don't have to lie just because you feel bad for me."

"I'm not! I really do love you too." Taehyung said. "Then why did you say the kiss meant nothing?" Jungkook asked. He didn't know if he should believe Taehyung. Taehyung said the kiss meant nothing, and he didn't seem like he was lying. But Taehyung wouldn't be the kind of person to mess with him like that, tell him he loved him too just because he felt bad.

"Because I thought you didn't like me back. I thought that if I just said that then you wouldn't find out I liked you. I didn't want to lose you as a friend. But you said you were in love with me so yeah I was lying the kiss meant something to me." He said and let out a giggle at the end. That was the cutest thing Jungkook has ever heard.

He seemed to be telling the truth. Jungkook just chose to believe him. "So are we good now?" Taehyung asked. "Yeah." Jungkook said with a smile and hugged Taehyung. Jungkook missed Taehyung, his best friend. Taehyung hugged him back then they opened the door to the bathroom.

Jimin looked at them and smiled. "So everythings good between you two. You guys are friends again?" Jungkook was gonna nod but then stopped. What were they now? "We might be more then friends, we still gotta figure stuff out." Taehyung says shyly. "Wait what the fuck what?" Jimin asked, his jaw dropped.

"Bye I gotta go!" Taehyung ignores the question and runs away to his class. Jimin goes to ask Jungkook, but he just shrugs and laughs. Jungkook and Jimin walk together to they're next class, and Jungkook fills Jimin in on what just happened. "Oh my fucking god i'm so happy for you!" Jimin says while he throws his arms around Jungkook. He laughs and was about to say something before he was interrupted.

"Are you boys gonna come inside the class or keep diddly daddling out here?" their teacher asked annoyed. "Sorry sir." they both say as they get to their seats. But they passed notes to each other the entire class.
