Before we left the semi crowded mall, Jimin took me by some stores to look for something that caught my eye. As we swiftly weaved in and out of people gathered in the popular departments, Jimin's arm never left my waist. If we had to change our position to walk through some people, he always held my hand tightly but soon returned to his original ways.
Sadly, his cologne has faded from it's strong scent to a subtle musk. I steal a glance at his features and for the first time, I notice that his ears are pierced. Not earring claimed it's place at this moment however there was a spot for them.
Jimin apparently had caught me staring and turned to face me to. Ever since he woke up there has been no sigh of sorrow in his eyes. A sweet gleam made the chocolate orbs become rich and deep. Like dark chocolate. When you first try it, it might be bitter. But if you give it a real chance you can taste the rich velvety and sweet flavor. Just like Jimin.
All of a sudden, a sign in front of one of the stores that was advertising a clothing sale came in harsh contact with Jimin's body. Not enough to knock him on his feet, but enough to knock his sunglasses off of his shirt.
My body freezes but soon starts to shake at the laughter that I'm trying to contain. But of course like the goober I am, I can't take it anymore and let out a deep laugh. Jimin just steps back from the sign trying to regain his balance. The look on his face was priceless.
"I-I can't b-breath." I say in between fits of laughter holding my stomach.
He just looks at me and kneels down to pick up his sunglasses that landed right beside my feet. His small hands push down my foot so I don't step and crush them into millions of tiny black pieces. After picking up his glasses and hanging them back on his shirt, the eyebrows on his head furrow while looking at my feet.
Jimin pops back up and take my hand dragging me quickly to an unknown destination. His speed walking is a little to fast as I struggle to keep up, even though he has my hand. All I can see is the back of his fire orange head. Once again I find myself beind weaved in and out of people as we start to move to the more crowded end of the building.
This is the side of the mall where all the kids with money go. The roof is made of glass panels that give a beautiful display of the white cloud sky. Floors shine with a high luster from being waxed every two weeks. Strong scents of perfume and old candles fill the bright air.
All the customer's have their share of designer hand bags, shoes, and articles of clothing. They're decked out from head to toe. Even the nails on the men were well kept and clean.
I don't belong here.
I feel Jimin start to slow down and I see my opportunity to get closer to him. Now instead of being dragged far behind him, I stick to his side like glue. The crowd of people start to make me feel unease and the people that made up the crowd were intimidating.
Jimin looks down, notices my sudden closeness and wraps his arm around me. He brings me closer and leans down to my ear.
"What's wrong?" He whispers concern lacing his words. I start to feel his grip becoming protective.
