Chapter 24: Breakup!

       "You're what?" Spencer asked. "Pregnant, I know that it's a shock." Maeve replied. "Yeah, it is." Spencer agreed. "Are you okay?" Maeve asked and Spencer sighed. "I don't know." Spencer replied and Maeve sighed. "I know that this is a lot to handle, and I should have probably waited until you got back. I'll let you wrap your head around this." Maeve told her and hung up. Spencer sighed, not sure what to do. He didn't know how to be a father. He was always awkward around girls before he met Maeve. He loves her and doesn't want to lose her, but he's not sure if he's ready to be a father yet. Derek walked out of the room and saw him standing there, with his back turned to him. "You okay, kid?" Derek asked. Spencer turned to face him. "Yeah, I just needed some fresh air." Spencer replied. He walked back into the room and got back into bed as Derek watched him carefully. He can tell that something isn't right with his friend.
      JJ and Emily were at the local diner that all the girls were kidnapped from. Yesterday they went to a job that no one has disappeared from yet, and now they decided to check this area out. "It just looks like an ordinary diner." Emily commented as she examined the area. "Maybe the Unsub isn't striking here for a particular reason." JJ suggested. "What do you mean?" Emily asked. "Maybe they're just here because it's the local diner, everyone comes here. They know their target will come here." JJ replied. "But if everyone comes here, wouldn't it be risky to getting caught?" Emily asked. "Unless they like being on the verge of getting caught." JJ replied. "That could be possible." Emily agreed. "I'm going to check out back." JJ informed her. "Okay, I'm going to ask around." Emily agreed. JJ walked out back and looked around. She walked up to the dumpster and saw blood on it. She bent down and examined it. But someone walked up behind her and smacked her on the head with a baseball bat. Everything went black as she passed out.
      Spencer and Derek were at the last girls job, a king questions. "Anyone here could have done it." Derek commented as he walked up to Spencer. "What makes you say that?" JJ asked. "Everyone on this floor hated her." Derek replied. "Everyone upstairs loved her." Spencer told him. "Huh. Did she have a split personality?" Derek asked. "I don't think so, it doesn't fit the profile." Spencer replied. "Then why does some love her and some hate her?" Derek asked. "Well, upstairs was filled with all the big bosses and downstairs is filled with just random coworkers." Spencer replied. "She could have just been nice to the bosses." Derek commented and Spencer nodded. "Exactly." Spencer agreed. "Ready to go, then?" Derek asked. "Sure." Spencer replied as they started heading out. "What happened last night?" Derek asked. "What do you mean?" Spencer asked. "You seemed weirded out or something." Derek replied and Spencer sighed. "It was nothing." Spencer told him as they walked outside and towards the van. "It doesn't seem like nothing." Derek told him and Spencer sighed. "Maeve's pregnant." Spencer told him and Derek gasped as Spencer got into the van 
      Aaron and David were on the phone with Penelope. "I tracked all of the jobs that the blondes worked, and there's a pattern." Penelope told them. "What is it?" Aaron asked. "The Unsub started from the edge of town and going all the way around and is moving his way to the center of the town, in a big swirl. The diner is at the center of town and there is a blonde girl that works there. Her name is Margaret and she is a single mother of four." Penelope replied. "Emily and JJ are there, I'll text them to talk to her." David suggested and Aaron nodded. "Garcia, what is the next job the Unsub should be going after?" Aaron asked. "A market. There are two blondes that work there; Sara and Madeline." Penelope replied. "Okay, send us the address and we'll head there now." Aaron told her. "Got it. Garcia out." Penelope agreed and hung up as the two agents got into their van. "I texted Emily." Dabid informed him. "Good." Aaron commented. "Are we going to talk about you and Emily?" David asked. "Nope." Aaron replied as he started the car. "Okay." David agreed as they drove away.
     Emily walked out back to find her friend. "JJ! Rossi wants us to talk to a waitress here!" Emily called. Then she gasped when she saw two guys putting JJ in a white van. "Hurry up." Ome guy said to the other. Emily quickly got out her gun and pointed it at them. "Freeze!" Emily called and the looked up at her. One guy got out of the van, holding a gun, as the other stayed in the van with JJ. The guy shot at Emily, but Emily ran behind the dumpster. Emily shot at the guy and shot his leg. He dropped his gun and the guy in the van ran to help his friend. Then Emiky shot the other guy in his shoulder. JJ finally woke up and rubbed he head. She looked at her fingers and saw blood. Her head was bleeding. "What happened?" JJ asked as Emiky ran up to her. "Long story." Emiky replied. One of the guys quickly grabbed his gun and shot Emiky in the side as Emiky screamed. JJ grabbed Emily's gun and shot the guy in the head. The other guy started running. "Get him, I'm fine." Emily told her. JJ ran after him and trampled him in the streets. She grabbed handcuffs and cuffed his hands behind his back.
     JJ was driving with Emily beside her and the Unsub was in back. She had texted everyone to meet her at the hospital. "I'm fine, JJ. It's not even that deep." Emily told her  "for once in your life, just stop being stubborn. You're not invincible, Em." JJ told her. Emily sighed and rolled her eyes. "But I don't make a big deal about it unless it's really bad." Emily told her. "Like you're about to die?" JJ asked and Emily sighed. "It's not like that." Emily replied. "It seems like that to me." JJ commented and Emily sighed.
      Everyone was on the jet. Emily was bandaged and feels fine, so she says. The Unsub was thrown in jail. Derek walked up to Spencer and sat across from him. "What are you going to do about the pregnancy?" Derek asked and Spencer sighed. "I don't know. I don't even know how to be a dad." Spencer replied. "My guess is it'll come when it comes. You can talk to Hotch or Rossi or Will, if it'll help." Derek suggested. "I guess." Spencer agreed. "What are you going to say to Maeve?" Derek asked. "I don't know yet. Maybe I'll know once I see her." Spencer replied and Derek nodded.
     Emily went in the back to get some coffee and Aaron joined her. "How are you feeling?" Aaron asked. "Fine." Emily replied. "Em, it's me. You can talk to me." Aaron told her. "And I just did, I'm feeling fine." Emily told him and he sighed. "Your wounds just fine?" Aaron asked. "Yes, I told everyone that it wasn't a big deal and of course no one listened to me." Emily replied. "We just wanted to make sure you were okay." Aaron told her. "And I am." Emily told him and she walked away as Aaron sighed.
      Spencer walked into Maeve's apartment and saw her sitting on the couch as she looked out the window. She turned her head and looked at him. "Hi." Spencer greeted. "Hey." Maeve greeted. "How are you feeling?" Spencer asked as he walked closer. "I'm feeling okay." Maeve replied as she stood up. "I was trying to figure out what to say to you on the jet ride here, and all I can say is that I love you, and I want to have this baby with you." Spencer told her and she smiled. "Really?" Maeve asked. "Yes." Spencer replied. They walked up to each other and kissed.
    Emily walked into her house and saw Aaron on the couch. She stayed at JJ's for thr last few hours since they've been home. "I didn't expect you coming home tonight." Aaron told her. "Neither did I." Emily agreed. "Jack's in his room." Aaron told her. "Okay. I think we need to talk." Emily told him. "Okay." Aaron agreed as he stood up. "I have a lot to say, so just wait until I'm done.... My entire life was like a roller coaster. But I felt like there were more downs then ups. I have a lot of issues and I.... And I don't know how to work them out. You usually date simple girls that are open books. I'm not that girl, Aaron. I'm not your type. I'm complicated and stubborn. I keep my feelings and my past inside and I hide from the world because the world has never done anything for me. I have too many demons, and I'm afraid that one day my demons will come out and hurt you. My worst demon has already tried. You deserve a nice, simple girl and a nice, simple life. You deserve better then me, so I'm going to do what I should have done a long time ago.... And set you free." Emily explained in tears. "I don't want you to set me free. I don't care how complicated you or your life is. All I want is you." Aaron told her and she sighed. Emily knew what she had to do to get Aaron to let her go, and that meant breaking both of their hearts. "But I don't want you." Emily told him. Emily walked out and cried as she left. Aaron sat on his couch and sighed as a few tears escaped.
