Coco(Hector x OC)

Chap 18

The two calm down and soon frown since they are still trapped. Miguel then hears something and looks up at the giant hole in the top. Dante then appears, barking happily at Miguel. Pepe meowing, looking for Maria. Pepita lands next to the two pets and roars making the water on the ceiling fall on Miguel like rain. Imelda laughs as she looks down at Miguel. Until she sees Hector.
"Hector." She growls with venom in her voice.
"Imelda." Hector says with an awkward smile. "You look good." Imelda successfully gets Miguel and Hector out of the cenote and they fly off toward where the rest of Miguel's family wait.
"Dante! You knew he was my papa Hector the whole time. You are a real spirit guide. Who's a good spirit guide? You are!" Miguel pets Dante, making Dante pant happily. That is until he starts glowing and turning into a colorful dog. "Whoah!" Miguel exclaims as Dante grows wings. He jumps off of pepita and starts to fly poorly along with her.
"Their they are!" Julios voice shouts as they come into venues of the rest of the family. Once on the ground, Miguel runs into everyone's arms.
"Oh, Miguel. I was so worried about you. And you, how many times must I turn you away!?" Imelda asks Hector with anger in her voice as she holds tightly onto Miguel. "I spent decades protecting my family from your mistakes. He spends five minutes with you and I have to fish him out of a sink hole."
"Imelda please." Hector tries to stop her ranting.
"I wasn't on their cause of Hector. He was in there cause of me. I didn't wanna listen, but he was right, nothing is more important than family." Miguel smiles at Hector before turning back to Imelda. "I'm ready to accept your blessing and your conditions. But first we need to find De la Cruz. He has Maria, and Hector's photo. Hector should be on our ofrenda. He's a part of our family."
"He left his family!"
"He was trying to go home to you and Coco. But De la Cruz murdered him."
"It's true Imelda."
"And so what if it's true? You leave me alone with a child to raise and I'm just supposed to forgive you!?" Imelda growls.
"Imelda...HUHH!" Hector falls once again, glowing a bright orange. Imelda gasps.
"I'm running out of time. It's Coco."
"She's forgetting you."
"We don't have to forgive him, but we shouldn't forget him." Miguel helps Hector back to his feet.
"I wanted to forget you. I wanted Coco to forget you too. But..."
"Thus us my fault, not yours, Imelda." Hector looks down shamefully.
"Miguel, if we get vectors photo, you will return home. Now more music?" Imelda asks.
"Family, comes first."
"I can't forgive you. But I will help you. So if Maria is with Ernesto along with the photo, it will be easy right. How do we get in?" Imelda asks.
"I might know a way."
Later at the Spectacular, the lights go out and Frida's papaya is illuminated by fake flames. Her illusional show keeping everyone distracted long enough for the disguised family to sneak backstage.
"So everyone clear on the plan?" Miguel asks once everyone has changed out of the Frida dresses.
"Find Ernesto." Imelda says.
"Get the photo." Rosetta continues.
"Rescue Maria." Julio says next.
"Send them both home." Oscar finishes.
"Everyone got their petals?" Hector asks. Everyone holds up a petal and Dante barks as a symbol to go. They all run down the hallway.
"Now we need to find De la Cruz." Imelda says.
"Yes?" Ernesto asks making Imelda scream and everyone else hide. "Dont I know you?" He asks. Imelda removes her shoe and snacks Ernesto with it.
"That's for trying to murder my grandson!" She yelled.
"Who the-" Ernesto shouts in confusion.
"She's talking about me!" Miguel shows himself.
"You!..." Before Ernesto can continue, Imelda snacks him again.
"Where is my granddaughter!?" She yells. A muffled voice calls from inside of Ernesto's dressing room. He chuckles and runs off down the hall.
"Go get the photo. We got Maria!" Miguel says as he and Hector enter the dressing room to see a tied up and crying Maria.
