Mia's POV

The next morning, I woke up to silence. It was two in the afternoon. I must have fallen asleep while on my phone because I was still in my clothes from yesterday and my phone was right next to my face. I sat up and stretched my arms out. I stood up from my bed and looked in the mirror. Oh god! My hair was a catastrophe! I brushed it out as well as I could and then plaited it carefully. Just as I was about to start my makeup, my phone buzzed, signalling a text. I leaned over and picked it up. On my screen I saw a text from Carter.

From: Carter

I'm bored, you should come to my house!

I laughed at how he didn't even ask. He kind of demanded.

I then called him because texting took too long.

(M-Mia C-Carter)

M- Do I have to?

C- Yes, I'm bored as hell

M- What if I have plans?

C- With who?

M- ...Text me your address

C- Thought so, see you soon

I hung up and went to get a quick shower.

Showering was done. I walked into my bedroom with a towel wrapped around myself. I dried myself off and re-plaited my hair. I put on mascara and minimal eyeliner. I picked out a football jersey and white ripped skinny jeans and changed into them. I grabbed my phone and looked at the address that Carter had texted me. I pulled on some socks and went downstairs to the front door. I grabbed the car keys from the table and pulled on some blue vans that were conveniently by the door.

"Going to Carters, see you later!" I shouted in to the house, hoping that my grandma would hear. If she didn't, she could just text. I quickly got into the car and drove to Carter's house.

I parked the car in their neat driveway and knocked the door. It swung open to reveal Carter's mom. She pulled me into a short hug and then told me that Carter was in his room. I went upstairs and looked around. There were four doors, one being open. I walked to the open door and peered inside to see Carter standing, shirtless, in front of his cupboard. As much as I liked the view, I didn't want to be a perv. As if admitting that I liked staring at him shirtless wasn't perverted enough.

"Oh my god, put a shirt on." I pretended to shield my eyes. Carter turned around and laughed.

"Don't lie, you loved it." He laughed, pulling my hands away from my face.

"So what if I did, I'm a girl, I can't help staring at shirtless guys." I shrugged and plopped down on the edge of his unmade bed. He chuckled to himself and chose a plain white t-shirt from the cupboard and pulled it over his head. He then went to a table in the corner of his room and picked up a gold necklace with a cross on it. He sat down next to me and looked over.

"What should we do?" He asked.

"I don't know. You invited me here." I stated, staring down at my black painted nails that were badly chipped.

"True, but I thought you'd have something planned." I scoffed at him.

"I don't plan. I just roll with it." I replied and stood up. "Now lets go do something!" I said enthusiastically. Carter stood up next to me and sighed.

"I don't want to walk places though." He groaned.

"Me neither. That's why I drove here." I shook my car keys in front of his face and he smiled.
