I'm so excited for today, i've been waiting forever. My sweet 16, the day I can finally get my license. I only dreamed for this day since I was born. I didn't realize how early it was until I looked at my phone: 4am.

I guess I was so excited that I wanted to wake up early. Since i'm awake I might as well watch something. I turn on the tv in my room and start watching Despicable Me 2, it is like my favorite movie of all time.

I look at my phone and I got a text from my best friend of all time, Kelsey. We have been best friends since kindergarden. I read the text out loud, knowing nobody would heard me.

"Ashley, happy 16th b-day!!! Don't forget we're going shopping today. I'll pick you up around 8, okay?"

I realize that she sent that an hour ago, she really is a morning person, she wakes up at 3am, goes running, takes a shower, gets dressed, does her hair and makeup, watches a movie or two, then by that time it's about 7am.

I watch the movie and decided to take a shower then get dressed. I got my strapless bra, underwear, my SoulCal strapless dress, and towel and went into bathroom.

After my shower I got dressed and put some makeup on. I put on light mascara, because my eyelashes were pretty long already. I put on some lipgloss and blush then got my curling iron out. I curled my hair and put my flower crown on.

I went to the kitchen to get some breakfast before I brushed my teeth. I looked and saw a note on the fridge from my parents:
Ashley,
We have to work today and tonight, so we'll see you tomorrow. Make sure you give your brother a call he has been wanted to talk to you. Well we love you, have fun with Kelsey.
-Your Parents

Ugh, why do they always have work? They never spend time with me anymore, I bet they don't even care it's my birthday. Wait, they didn't say happy birthday.

Well they'll probably text me it or call me. I might as well go on with this day. It was finally 8:12 when she picked me up.
