I had been trying to stay away from Logan. After a horrifying morning and that kiss I didn’t think it was safe to be anywhere near him. I volunteered to watch the twins for awhile, but then the boys helped me out so Logan was around. I stuck close to Hale listening to the boys joke back and forth.

His girlfriend came down at the same time Jake did. They both had smug smirks on their faces and Hale’s face scrunched up as he stared at Jake. I was really starting to worry about him, and only God knew why he was smiling.

“Jake come here.” Hale spit and Jake looked at him. “Connor, come with me.” He muttered and grabbed Jake. Logan sat their staring at them, then he turned to Kendra. He smiled at her and she smiled back but when she walked towards him he stood up and grabbed the twins. She trudged to the kitchen.

“So tonight?” Logan asked quietly, “Are we still on for dinner?”

“No.” I answered and he watched me, “No way.” He eyed me up but Hale came back in and glared at Kendra. Logan’s face scrunched up in confusion. He came over and looked at me. Why was I getting the intense stare?

“Mom needs you to go to the store.” He insisted, “Logan go with her.”

“Okay.” He nodded and I grabbed Hale, but he dragged me away.

“Kendra is being weird and Jake and her, I don’t know but I don’t need Logan and her getting into a big fight all right? So can you help me keep them separated?” I nodded dumbly, this was just my luck. “So go take him and get these.” He stuffed a small list in my hand, “It’s for dessert.”

“This is enough to feed twice as many people that we have here.” I told him, “Can’t I only get half?”

“No.” He glared and I didn’t dare argue, “Now go, and uh, let Logan drive.” He was walking away before I could even ask why. I stood their dumb founded as Logan was pushed over to me.

“Fate.” He grinned dangling the keys from his hand, I looked down and noticed their was money with the note, helpful. I sighed and walked towards the car watching snowflakes dust the ground. He looked at me before hopping in the car.

“You gonna drive?” I asked after a minute of him just sitting and staring out the drivers side window.

“Yes I’m going to drive, why can’t you drive again?” He muttered pulling the car into reverse and slowly backed out of our drive.

“I can drive, Hale said to let you.” Logan glanced at me then stared hard at the road as he drove like a grandma. I smirked at his nervousness. He was tense beyond belief and looked around the car for a second as he braked.

“Does this car have snow tires?” He asked cautiously.

“Yeah,” I paused, “Is that a joke?”

“No.” His voice was firm, letting him drive was such a mistake, “Can’t we just walk to the god damned store?” I bit my lip hiding my smirk as he groaned in frustration. “Damn it this fucking sucks.”

“Calm down.” I whispered as he stared at the road he was slowly driving down. “Is this some joke for Hale?”

“No, this is him trying to help me, I don’t drive in the snow. Not even this, if there is snow I don’t drive, and if I don’t have to I won’t get in a frick’n car with snow in sight.” He frowned, “I hate this.”

“I can drive.” I told him quietly, “Just pull over.”

“I can fucking drive you to the store.” He muttered and he pressed the accelerator. We jolted forward as he increased his speed.
