Nathan was staring down his opponent, ready for the green light, foot on the throttle, and hand on gear. Nathan turned watching for the light to change. Blink, green light appears, and Nathan revved and switched into 1st gear and violently pressed the accelerator. A mighty roar came from Nathan’s Honda Accord VRT-S as Nathan raced down the drag strip with another Honda Accord VRT-S on the other side of the strip. Nathan was winning the race; he wanted to win this race to move into the next round. The timer stopped, Nathan had passed the finish line, winning the race, and Nathan was relieved that he was going to move onto the next round.

Nathan drove back to his station waiting for applause from his coaches, friends and family. When Nathan had arrived he wasn’t expecting what he was. He saw who was waiting for him his garage. Nathan was stunned to see the police there, sitting on his bench.

“I’m constantinople Caesar McIntyre and this is my partner; James Kelly.” “I’ve been inform to tell you that your father and mother have been killed.” “I’ve come here to pick you up and bring you to your family.”

Nathan’s eyes widened, what did he just hear, both of his parents are dead, shocked Nathan said “Wwwere they murdered?”

“Yes, I’m afraid so,” said Caesar in a calm worrying sound.

Tears started falling from Nathan’s eyes and then started streaming down his cheek.

“Let’s go then, take me to my family, I need to see them.”

Without hesitance Nathan hoped into the back of the cop car and away they went.

One week later

At the funeral the Moore family gathered together as a family and showed their love for their parents placing their valuable items that their father and mother had given them. Bowing their heads towards the dark brown, solid, wooden coffin and trying to remember the good times that they shared together.

“We… are gathered here today, to remember Mr. and Mrs. Moore.” “They were nice, love caring parents who raised the mightiest of five children. They were truly blessed, but now it’s time to say goodbye.”

Knowing that the Moore family will never see their parents again, one by one they knelt onto their knees hugging their parent’s coffin for last time before leaving.

When the funeral was finished, Nathan hoped back into his car and drove home but when he returned to his house, something was different.

He noticed that his dog wasn’t on his front porch, barking when he had arrived. Shocked to see no “sparky” got out of his vehicle and walked around searching for sparky, but no-where to be found. Nathan noticed something was going down.

When Nathan unlocked his front door and walked into his house, he was gob-smacked to see that the state of his house was in. He knew when he had left his house it was clean and tidy but now it’s a wreck. Nathan walked into the living room first. His couch was ripped into shreds with the foam padding tossed around the room also ripped into shreds.

After checking the house he still hasn’t check the kitchen yet. As he was walking towards the kitchen he noticed that the kitchen was exactly the same as he left but there was piece of paper on the bench-top.

When Nathan had reached the kitchen, he was astonished to see that the kitchen is the only room in the house where it isn’t trashed to bits. Nathan noticed that the letter has been written to him. Nathan knew straight away what type of handwriting it was.

“It can’t be this is impossible.”

Nathan knew that this particular handwriting belonged to his fathers. Nathan rashly opened the envelope ripping the piece of paper that was visible. Nathan aggressively reading the paper said these words,

“Nathan, if you are reading this, I’m already dead, run, flee, the guys that killed me are coming for you. If you don’t flee they will kill you. Hurry! You will understand all in good time but for now RUN!!”

After Nathan had read the word run, a mighty sonic –boom came across the house. Literally almost bursting his eardrums, Nathan crouched into a ball position on the floor, trying to avoid the sound. Within seconds the sonic-boom vanished, being aroused, Nathan slowly got to his feet.

When Nathan had finally found his feet, Glass started smashing from different rooms. One by one from all of the rooms, Nathan being dazed didn’t know what was going on.

When Nathan had re-gained his visual state, it was already too late. The strangers that broke into the house grabbed Nathan and dragged him out of the house. The strangers threw him into the van and away they went.

When Nathan had gain conscience he was tied down to the chair with two strangers standing there staring him down. Suddenly a door open and a man dressed in a white suit staring directly at him, quickly walked up to him and punched him in the face.

“Where is it?” “Where’s the money?” exclaimed the stranger.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about” Nathan claimed in a worried voice.

“You know where it is, your father said you will know” the stranger said.

Nathan suddenly knew that these people killed his father. His father being martial arts fighter, Nathan knew some moves that he could use to help to escape. Without hesitance swung his hips and smashed the chair into the man dressed in the suit. The chair smashed into pieces, Nathan released himself and started smashing the men that were in the room. Being satisfied in his accomplishment left the room and successfully escaped the building. Nathan successfully hot-wired a car and vanished into the horizon.

On his way he stopped into his local bank branch and checked his account. He was astonished to see the amount of money there was in his bank account. A sigh and a wide grin came across Nathan’s face, thanking his father who gave him a million dollars.
