Frozen

-One Year Earlier-

*Phone rings*

Aura groans as she rolled over and looked over at her alarm clock. 3am?
"Who in their right mind be ringing me at this time?" She muttered to herself.
She picked up her phone and turned it on to see who it was but was quickly blinded by the brightness. Aura dropped her phone in frustration and muttered strings of profanities as she leaned over her bed to grab her phone.

She turned her brightness down and looked at the caller ID. "Josh? What are you doing up at this time and this better be good." She croaked Out.
"Hey babe good morning to you too." He said sounding a little nervous.
""It's 3...In the freaking morning!" She said as she sat up in her bed, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"It's important babe open your window" he said seriously. Her head whipped to her left towards her window and sure enough she saw her boyfriend hanging from her tree just outside her bedroom window. She'd always make little jokes when she saw him hanging out there. He made her smile and her heart would beat a thousand times faster when he was near her.

He was, in her mind the perfect boyfriend and she loved him dearly.
As she was unlocking the window she noticed his facial features. They were serious and a look of guilt. What's going on?
He hopped in and instead of giving her a peck on the lips like they always do, he walked straight to her bed, sat down and held his head in his hands.

"H...Hey is everything ok babe?" Aura her voice becoming shaky. She knelt in front of him and gently removed his hands from his face. "You can tell me" she looked deep into his eyes searching for an answer.

"Ok..." He said finally after a long few seconds. He took a few deep breaths and composed himself. "It's over..."
Aura froze and everything went quiet except for the beating of her heart ringing in her ears. Surely she didn't hear him correctly or that it wasn't her imagination playing a sick joke. But her fears had come to life.

"Your joking babe. April 4th is next week you got your dates wrong silly, haha" she laughed nervously. He can't do this to her. She had her heart broken before and he helped her pick it up piece by piece. She had told him stuff, her insecurities, her fears.
"No I'm serious. It's over, we're done, finished" he said flatly. Aura could feel her self crumbling. She couldn't feel anything.

"Get out" She said as she stared into nothing. After a few seconds and Josh still didn't move. "I said Get Out!" She stated more harshly and tears threatened to fall.
Josh stood up and climbed out the window without looking back. After a few minutes of just sitting on the floor just trying to process what the hell just happened. She felt a warm sensation on her left cheek then on her right. That's when she crashed, she cried so hard until the sun began to rise.

Hours later she had no tears left to shed. She felt numb. She felt nothing. She felt her heart physically freeze over and all she felt was cold. She drew shaky breaths and her emotions shut down that's when she vowed never to love a guy again. She looked at the time and debated wether to go to ice practice or not.

Her Heart had been frozen cold. She has a Heart of Ice.

Hey guys I am back from the dead wooo.... I had been super busy with stuff in my life. Emotions, travel and future trips. So I decided to start fresh I don't think I will be continuing my other strories. They will be put on hold for now but I don't know for how long but I'll try and do some chapters here and there.
Hope you enjoy this new story it's based on some of my life events BUTTTTTT I have twisted it in my way so you can't tell if it had actually happened or not so yeah :) enjoy this new story!!
