Writer's Block (A Fairy Tail fanfic starring my favorite ship, NaLu!)

Chapter Three

Lucy stirred slightly and something warm and soft flopped down over her nose.

"Eh?"

She lifted up her hand and brushed aside the white scarf. That's when she remembered.

"Oh! I have to return this to Natsu!"

Scrambling to her feet, she threw off the covers and dashed into the bathroom. She ran a brush through her hair and brushed her teeth. When she finished, she rummaged through her dresser for something to wear and finally pulled on a yellow top and a blue skirt.

She exited the house and locked the door behind her. Lucy quickly made her way down the street, occasionally stopping to say hello to some familiar faces. Somehow, she knew that Natsu would be at Fairy Tail. He almost always was.

When she pushed open the door, Fairy Tail was in chaos (as usual). Mirajane was trying to calm a very drunk and very pissed Cana, Levy was whacking Gajeel with a book, and everybody else was either standing on a table or hiding under one.

A beer bottle sailed past Lucy's head and smashed open on the wall behind her.

"Eek!"

She ducked and quickly wove her way between the bar's patrons. Lucy held the scarf protectively to her chest. She swiveled her head from side to side, desperately searching for Natsu, when she caught sight of a VERY familiar set of abs.

Of course those abs belonged to Gray Fullbuster, the unofficial stripper of Fairy Tail. Said stripper was currently arguing with Natsu. The pinkette looked just about ready to deck Gray when Lucy cleared her throat.

The two men continued to argue, and Lucy frowned. She tried yelling at them over the noise, but to no avail. Lucy's patience was wearing thin already. Just when all three of them seemed ready to explode, the doors to Fairy Tail burst open with a loud bang.

When everyone saw who it was, they immediately quieted down. Everyone seemed to freeze, and slowly Lucy turned her head to see who was at the door.

A woman stood in the doorway. She had dark red that was tied into a bun and was wearing a police uniform.

Did someone call the cops? Lucy wondered. Natsu and Gray suddenly looked terrified, and Lucy wouldn't have a hard time picturing them with giant anime sweat drops hovering around their heads.

The mystery woman cocked her head and the sunlight fell directly onto her features. Lucy gasped.

"ERZA!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!" Natsu exclaimed. Almost instantly, everybody surged forward to greet the red-head.

Lucy joined in, a huge grin spreading over her face. Erza had only been gone for a week for her honeymoon, but to everybody else, it felt like an eternity.

Everybody began to assault Erza with questions about her vacation with Jellal at an island resort. When Jellal entered, Erza greeted him with a big peck on his cheek, and Lucy watched the couple greet everybody and tell everyone about their trip.

Deep down, Lucy felt some yearning for a companion. She wanted someone to hold her hand and support her in her darkest days. She wanted someone more than a friend. Lucy was so lost in her thoughts, she didn't even notice Natsu creeping up behind her.

" HEY, LUCE!"

"GYAHH!!"

Lucy jumped and stumbled forward a bit. Her eyes narrowed. She would recognize that voice anywhere.

"NATSU!!! YOU'RE GONNA GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK!"

"Heh, sorry." He replied, scratching the back of his head. For some reason, Lucy's cheeks flushed. He looked so damn cute.

Wait, wait, WHAT?! Cute?! He's my friend. Lucy don't be weird, She shook herself out of her trance and offered him a small smile.

"Oh! Here. Um, your scarf." She handed him his scarf.

"Ah, thanks! Did it keep you warm?"

"Y-yeah."

"Oh! And here, I meant to give this back to you."

"Eh? You took something from me?"

"Ah, found it!" Natsu removed his hand from his back pocket and held out....her panties?

"NATSU, YOU LOOKED THROUGH MY UNDERWEAR DRAWER?! YOU PERVERT!" She snatched them back and glared daggers at him.

Natsu gulped, then turned tail and ran.

"HEY! COME BACK HERE PANTY THIEF!!"

Lucy chased after him, growling insults as she ran.
