we were in the middle of nowhere, there were only fields as far as the eye could see and a sign here and there. either I had been dumb enough to ignore my better judgement and I was actually about to be murdered or we were headed some place remote. both my options seemed relatively obvious, there was just something that didn't seem right, I could feel it. "whats your name?" I asked the blue eyed man "jax" he replied, I couldnt help the smile that broke out across my lips. "jax? is that your actual name?" he nodded scowling at me. though my smile stayed put against my orders. I bit my lip hard trying to bite back the following laugh. "its not that funny louisa " he said emphasising my name as if it wasn't a common one. "whatever you say jax" I said mocking his tone. we both laughed until the car was spun off the dirt road and into the long grass that was previously beside us.

the window beside me smashed and small chunks of glass were stuck in my forehead. I could feel the warm trickle of blood making its way past my eyebrow. it was the only thing I could feel right now. my leg was trapped under the car and I felt sick from all the spinning. my head still twirled and as I tried to lift the car off my leg jax pulled me down so I was laying on my back as a gun shot cracked through the air breaking the ringing barrier in my ear, "what the hell is going on" I said "shit" he mumbled back seeing my forehead. "he's not going to be happy when he see's that" he mumbled again trying to remove the glass from the wound. I inhaled sharply as he touched the cuts and pulled away. "just get me out from under the car" I said sharply nodding toward my leg. "oh right" he said quickly and tried to lift the car. he lifted it about a millimeter before the driver of the car emerged through the door and helped him.

"get her out of here or mr Mathews will have your head on a silver platter you know that!" he growled as I searched him I noticed a small symbol on his jacket, the same one that was used back at the institute for rogue missionaries. "your the guys that lost communication and never came back" I said remembering that I had read it somewhere around the institute, they both nodded. jax quickly swept me into his arms and put me up against the car. he pulled out a shotgun loaded the barrel and shot it three times before the field was silent around us.

he flung me over his shoulder once more and carried me to the nearest car and hot wiring the engine. an engine growled loudly in the near distance behind us. "just start the fucking car!" I yelled angrily and that was it, the wire sparked and the car started roaring healthily as we set off. we were speeding now, the need for precautions seemed stupid at the present point in time.

I held the gun on my lap and kept looking out of the back window to make sure we weren't being followed. we were and they were close. "what do I do?" he looks behind quickly "shoot the left tire!" he must have been crazy, I couldnt hit the tire id have better luck hitting one of them "DO IT LOUISA" he yelled, I undid my window and half hung out of it, I aimed the gun at the tire and shot hitting the right instead of the left. the car spun and flipped, but as I stared closely I could see julio emerge from it perfectly fine. my mouth dropped to the floor and I felt sicker than ever had before. he was alive and even though he was still pretty far away he was just close enough to be able to see the hatred look upon his face as we followed ryan. I gulped trying to hold back the stomach acid as I shuddered from the memory of his face, like ice shooting up and down my spine.

I got back into the car quickly and ordered him to drive faster. "what the hell was that?!" I sunk into my chair drowned in fear "I dont know I panicked and just shot the gun!" I yelled back. I was cold. I did the window half up starting to hear the resistance of the wind rattle against the glass. "julio is still alive louisa!"

"I know jax! which is why we need to slow down a bit, make julio feel more confident and ryan feel like we're not following him" jax sighed but he knew I was right. I hung out the window again as the car slowed nearly to a halt and I shot julio while he was running, with jax giving me pointers on how to put him down, but as we started to speed up again I was jolted and I shot him between the eyes. he dropped to the floor, dead. like dead, dead. deaded, aint coming back ever again dead. and my heart broke. I was a murderer. sure he has killed thousands and did some bad things but he had a family, maybe he had a kid or people he cared about and no he's dead.
