[5] - Their Fate

Ink's PoV

The whole festival was fun. I mean, we really have fun.

He got me a stuff toy from a gun game stall!

He cheated... Welp! At least I got what I wanted.

"So..." Error looked at me with that look when we began to hang out. "Where do you wanna go next?"

"I think we already played all of these stalls." I said, laughing.

"Oh yeah." Error joined at me laughing but it was awkward.

I noticed a presence came in that bothered me.

"Shhh..." I hold his mouth, taking 2 steps forward away from him.

I narrowed my eyes, scanning the area. Somethings odd...

"Somethings not right." I glanced to Error who is staring at me weirdly.

"What do you mea-"

"Watch out!" I jumped towards Error and we dodged the explosion.

I knew it! The humans came to attack!

I landed on top of him. I looked up of any signs of ships coming by. There are! I took my brush and let my guard up.

"What just happened?!" Error asked again.

"There's no time in asking questions or to explain!" I exclaimed, I started ran away from his direction.

"Just tell me what is happening and I'm going to help you!" I stopped in tracks, looking at him.

The other samurai monsters began to equip their katana and began fighting the ones who made the explosions.

It is the war between humans and monsters. It'll happen now! Why would Blue brought us to place- It is still needed! I have to save them!

"Ink! I think we have to go." Error suggested, taking my hand.

"Are you nuts?! I have to protect this AU." I pulled my hand from his, glaring daggers at him. "They need me, Error!"

"But this is their fate! This is their role, this is the creator's decision and what they wanted to do in this multiverse! Do not corrupt or do anything in this time line."

"Still! They need my help. I am the PROTECTOR of the Multiverse, let me do my job!"

"Ink!" Error pulled me close, holding both of my hands.

We stare at each other's eyes, forgetting the screams, fighting, bombings and blood all around us.

The moment he held my hands made everything... Disappear. My anxious emotions... I felt like nothing matters! I went to my senses.

Then I started crying.

He was right, it is no bother. They had to face it on their own.

When he saw that tears are falling down from my eyes, he pulled me closer into a hug. It is a comforting experience which made my emotions stronger. I hugged him back, gripping onto him tightly.

"I know what you feel! I know what you think. But going back is our only option! We shouldn't be here with them in the first place. I hope you understand!" Error exclaimed. I can barely here him through out this noise but I can catch all the words he said.

"Error! Ink!" Katana approaches to us. He is full of wounds but looking to his face it's like it is no big deal for him. "The both of you should leave immediately!" He added.

"But-"

"Don't worry about us!" Katana interrupted, winking after. "We can handle this human traitors! I know their strategy now because everything keeps on repeating. I thought we made peace already... Anyways! We have DETERMINATION to do this!"

"Katana we need you!" One of his teamates called.

"It's too dangerous to be here." Katana said.

Ink swiftly carried Error then made a portal. The portal closed quickly and our face was written with shock all over it.

We didn't realize that we're back in Outertale.

"Error!" I approached to him and I don't know what to do so I just stared at him with my worried emotions.

Error's PoV

Everything happens so quickly that I passed out because of pain. When I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful angel staring at me.

"Error!"

As I slowly gain my visions back I saw Ink smiling in relief. Oh...

"You're alive!"

"Uhh... Where am I?" I said, looking to my left and right. Probably ignoring what he said and was just getting to the point.

"Here in the basement!" Ink chuckled after.

"Why am I in the basement?" I asked, slowly sitting up.

It was a comfy bed though. I think it's an old bedroom never used in years and decided to put stuff here. There sure are lots of stuff here. Mostly paints and... Vials? Scratches of strategy. Just many stuff.

Going back to Ink who is now starting to talk.

"Well~ I can't make a portal to your place since I'm too tired making one." He explained. "Plus, Dream can't see you. There are snacks over there and drinks. There's a telephone too. Call me if you need help."

"Dream doesn't like me being here?"

"Well~" Ink looked at me, playfully fiddle his fingers. He then smiled at me. "That's a secret." He whispered, leaving.

Great

"Oh, and... Don't bother going out! I made a trap." Ink shouted.

"I am not a prisoner, Ink!"

Then he already left.

Out of curiosity, I began scanning the whole area.

That Dream Ink was talking about. I already forgot about him. I never get a chance to talk to him or her? Meh, I only remembered Dream person ignoring me and looking at me like he was going to kill me. Who cares? They look weak to kill. I'm already smart enough to know what he is up to.

I knelt down and took an album... Full of pictures of course.

I opened it and random pictures fell. It is pretty full of picture of Ink and his friends when they are little.

I closed it when one of the photo fell caught my eye. I placed the album back, taking the photo from the floor.

January 10, 2xxx

It was a picture of Ink with a hospital uniform on. He has those eyes like he doesn't know what he is doing there. Judging by his look, he is smiling but a fake one. Blue and Dream joined him, smiling beside him.

I flipped the photo, showing some written words to it.

Ink finally went out to the operating area! I'm glad he's safe and it went alrigh--

"Error? What are you doing?"
