Joy and Disgust were arguing over the console again, but this time it seemed more serious than usual.
"Move"
"No you move"
"No you move because Riley needs to be happy"
"Yes but not acting like a 4 year old"
"She's not acting like a 4 year old"
"She will be, just like you are right now. Now move so I can choose her outfit"
Something about that sentence triggered something inside of Joy which made her scream
"NO! I'LL CHOOSE HER OUTFIT"
"You? You wouldn't know fashion if it came up and bit you on your pretty face"
Joy was taken by surprise at this "y-you think I'm pretty?"
Disgust realized what she said but knew she couldn't take it back so just stood there, suddenly she felt something warm against her lips and realized Joy was kissing her, Joy loves me too she thought and returned the kiss. After just over 10 seconds Joy broke the kiss "I love you Disgust"
"I love you too Joy"
Later that day
Joy and Disgust became a couple.
Riley closed her eyes "I've got dream duty so have a good sleep everyone" Joy said happily as she pressed the button on the floor with her foot to send all the memories to long term.
"Night Joy"
"Hope Riley has a good sleep"
"Hope her dream isn't scary"
Disgust stayed behind and waited until everyone else left and sat down next to Joy and kissed her, Joy happily returned the kiss
"Do you think we should tell the others?" She asked sounding worried
"We can tell them tomorrow"
3 months later
Disgust and Joy were on one of the couches, kissing when the other emotions came in and saw them. Joy noticed them first and broke the kiss nervously "they've found out" she whispered, sounding like she was about to cry so Disgust put her arm around Joy's shoulders "its about time they found out" she replied and turned to the others "we've been dating for 3 months" she explained to the confused emotions
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Asked Sadness
"B-because I thought if you found out you'd laugh at us" Joy explained as a tear ran down her face, she turned and hugged Disgust who gave her a comforting squeeze "so you're fine with it?" Disgust asked the others
"Of course we are!" Anger said "why wouldn't we be?"
Nobody could think of a decent answer so they carried on with their day.
