Seeing as they were both in LA, Demi and HCR decided to have an end of tour party.

--

Demi watched as everyone partied their hearts out. Shots were being downed by all the boys, and tons of people were dancing. She was sitting at a table across the bar with a diet coke in her hands. She looked to her left and saw Nash coming over to talk to her.

He sat down next to her, "what's wrong, why aren't you partying?"

She noticed that he had a beer in each hand. Ignoring his question, she asked, "why do you need two beers? Is one not enough?"

He looked down at the beers, and then back up at her. "One's for you." He handed her the beer. "I know you haven't had the best memories with this stuff, but one isn't going to kill you." He smiled. "And, come on, you gotta sit with us."

She smiled and stood up, "let's go, then."

He stood up and they walked over to where the rest of them were.

"Hey Demi!" Everyone said at the same time.

"Hey guys!" She said with a huge smile on her face. She looked down at the beer, and then took a sip.

She sat next to Nash, and before she knew it, she was starting to do shots with them.

"I can't believe you're actually doing this." Nash said to her.

"I need to learn to live a little. Besides, one night won't kill me." She slurred, and smiled wide.

He laughed and then got another beer. "It's fun partying with us, huh?"

"I guess you could say that. But, I needed to start drinking to have fun, so it's questionable."

"Questionable? That's a big word for a drunk girl."

She gasped, "I'm not drunk!"

He smiled, "Oh, come on. Let's dance." He grabbed her arm, and they went to the dance floor.

To Demi, the rest of the night was a complete blur. All she knew was where she was, and who she was with. She remember bits of talking to Jamie and Ryan, and dancing with them. Also, spending most of her time with Nash. Nothing else seemed to stand out, though. Nothing else mattered, all she wanted and worried about was partying.

Most of the night was spent drinking and dancing. She could feel herself falling back into old ways, drinking until she couldn't feel anymore, couldn't think anymore. Though, it was nice for one night, to forget everything in the world. But before she got too bad, she remembered leaving the party. And then everything went black.

The next morning, she woke up in a hotel room. The sun was shining in her face. Rubbing her eyes, she slowly sat up, and noticed something weird. There was someone laying next to her.

She turned her head and did a double take. It was Nash. "Oh, god." She whispered. She looked under the blanket, checking to make sure she had clothes on, and she did. She sighed with relief. She rubbed her head, while it pounded. "Hungover and a killer headache to go with it. Great." She sighed and laid back down, facing her back towards Nash.

Minutes later, Nash started moving around. The bed shifted as he sat up. He didn't say anything, he didn't seem surprised that Demi was laying in bed next to him. He got up and went into the bathroom.

Demi opened her eyes as soon as the door closed. There were a few moments of silence and then she heard talking.

"Chord, do you have Dallas' number still?"

She could tell that Chord was answering him, but she couldn't hear what he was saying.

"Can you call her and tell her Demi's with me, and not to worry? I'll bring her home later."

She heard a muffled, "yeah, of course."

And then Nash, "Thanks, man." then he hung up.

The door opened, and she sat up. "What happened last night?" She said before he got the chance to saying anything.

"Nothing." He said almost instantly. "Nothing bad."

"Why don't I remember anything?"

"What is this, 20 questions?" When he noticed that she didn't laugh, he shook his head, "You're probably just hungover. I forget a lot of shit the next morning after a party like that. I don't usually remember anything for a few days."

"You seem perfectly fine." She rubbed her eyes.

"I didn't drink as much as you did... and definitely not as fast."

"What are you talking about?" She said, feeling super confused.

"Once you started drinking, you were wasted within an hour. It was crazy."

"You let me drink that much?" She said with some disgust.

"I didn't realize how fast you were drinking. Once I realized how bad you got, I brought you here."

"You stayed here with me?" She said, a little surprised.

"Yeah... I couldn't really leave a drunk girl alone."

"Is that all I am to you, 'a drunk girl'?" She crossed her arms against her chest.

His eyes widened, surprised she said that. "No, I was just saying... I wouldn't leave you alone."

"And nothting happened while we were here?"

"Nothing. I wouldn't take advantage of  you like that."

"You promise?"

He laughed a little, thinking that she was kidding. But, when he realized she was being serious, he said, "I promise."
