17) Pissed off

MADDIE GAVE MR HARRIS a wave as she entered Chemistry....five minutes before the period finished. "Miss Harper. You are extremely late, do you have a note?" Harris asked and Maddie scoffed as she sat next to Isaac. "It wouldn't matter if I did or not. You would still give me detention. Why? Because you're a fucking asshole." Maddie retorted and Isaac gave her a discreet high five under the table that she accepted.

"Lunchtime detention, Miss Harper." Harris told her who rolled her eyes. "Yeah, thanks. I already got that, dickface." Maddie retorted and the class chuckled. "What about detention for a week?" Harris asked and the girl shrugged.

"Go ahead. Doesn't mean I'll show up." Maddie told Harris before the bell rang and Maddie put her hands over her cheeks and made an "O" with her mouth. "Is that the bell? I'll see you at lunch, Harris....maybe." Maddie called, getting up and walking out.

"Isaac, it's lunchtime detention. It's not like one of them cheated on you and the other knew but didn't tell you." Maddie retorted as they walked to Isaac's locker. Isaac sighed and Scott shook his head.

"She's right. If all they want right now is to piss you off, then don't give in. They're just trying to get to you." Scott said as they reached Isaac's locker. "It's not just me." Isaac said gesturing towards Lydia and Aiden and Maddie scoffed shaking her head getting out her phone tapping buttons.

"Fuck. No." Maddie stated before walking over. "What about tonight?" Aiden asked Lydia as Maddie made her way over. "Nope. Studying." Lydia said as Maddie got there and pushed Aiden three steps back.

"Dipshit, she's taken." Maddie snapped and Lydia pointed to Maddie with a nod. "What? With who? Because before you left you were all over me." Aiden stated confused and Lydia rolled her eyes. "Kol Mikaelson who, by the way, wants to rip your face off." Maddie said turning the phone to show a pissed off Kol on FaceTime.

"Well, it's good to know my girlfriend is faithful. Not good for you of course but for me. You should watch your back, Aiden. Because you've now done two things to piss me off. Mess with Maddie and hit on my girlfriend." Kol listed with a smirk before ending the call and Maddie just waved her hand as if dismissing Aiden as she turned to Lydia who smirked.

"Thanks Maddie." Lydia said and Maddie grinned back at her. "Anytime Lyds. The relationship may be a little rushed but I approve." Maddie said as they split their separate ways. Maddie walked back up to Scott and Isaac who looked at her with surprise.

"Where has the bitchiness and sudden boost of confidence come from?" Isaac asked and Maddie grinned as she flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Mystic Falls is a fucked up place but if your friends with the right people and based on what type of creature of talents you are, Mystic Falls is pretty much a Devil Playground. And I myself might as well be the devil. See you at lunch, Isaac." Maddie finished as her phone rang and she walked off as she answered leading the other two to stare after her.
