Juliet walked up to the Grand building, anxiety kicking in. It was a fresh start. A new life.

And she was nervous.

The girl ascended the stairs with her books clutched tightly to her chest. There were people conversing around her. They all seemed like a happy bunch.

Juliet drew a deep breath as she entered the school. She looked around to see that the interior was simplistic in design. A courtyard lied in the middle of the school and the classes were all upstairs.

As Juliet made her way over to the stairs, she bumped into someone passing by. "Ugh! Watch where you're-" The girl cut herself off.

"Wait, I haven't seen you around. You're the new girl, aren't you?"

Juliet nervously nodded her head, refusing to bring her eyes up. She felt her knees tremble. The blonde scoffed.

"Well, watch where you're going, new girl. Some people aren't going to be as nice to you as I am," She said. Juliet gave a curt nod and mumbled out an apology. The blonde stared at her shaking form.

"Why are you shaking?" She asked annoyed. Julie's face heated from embarrassment. "I-I'm just nervous... I'm not a very social person..."

The blonde rolled her eyes. "Well, I guess that means I won't have to worry about you being in my hair." Juliet cracked a smile.

"Ugh, I guess this means I have to show you around."

"I'm Chloe, by the way. Chloe Bourgeois, daughter of the Mayor." She took Julie's hand and pulled her away from the stairs. Juliet stumbled a bit as she was pulled away.

"Now, listen carefully because I'm not gonna be here to help you find your way all the time." They walked along the courtyard, going down one of the halls. "Over here is the library. No one really goes there unless they have to."

Chloe pointed across the hall. "And over there is the principal's office. You should try to avoid going there." The girls walked further down the hall.

"Some restrooms, fountains, all the basic stuff," Chloe nudged off. They entered another hallway. Juliet tried to keep up. "And down here you'll find the cafeteria, janitor's closet, and some more restrooms."

"Now let's go upstairs."

"Juliet! Get over here right this instant!" Chloe stamped her foot as she glared at the girl. Juliet flinched.

"Y-yes, Chloe?" Juliet asked as she approached her. Chloe crossed her arms. "How dare you betray me and sit with Mari-Brat and the Nerd-Squad!"

Juliet swallowed the lump in her throat. "Chloe, it was just for a project. I'm paired up with them for the chemistry assignment." She fiddled with her fingers nervouely.

Chloe scoffed. "That doesn't mean you have to sit with them!" She flipped her hair and gave a "hmph!".

"I'm sorry, Chloe. I didn't know it would upset you." Juliet averted her gaze. "I'll go and tell them I can't sit with them."

"I'll be waiting," Chloe stated. She walked back over to her table and sat down at her seat. Juliet walked back over to the group and gathered her things together.

"Where are you going, Juliet?" Marinette asked. Juliet stuffed her things in her bag. "I'm moving over to Chloe's table. I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me," She pleaded.

The girls brushed it off. "Don't worry about it. We'll talk more during class," Alya assured. Juliet gave them an appreciative smile and walked over to Chloe.

The girl took the vacant seat next to Chloe. "Ok. I'm here, Chloe. What's up?" Chloe glared at her.

"What's up? I think I should be asking you what's up! I share my kindness and you go off and ditch me for that brat?" Juliet looked offended. "I would never ditch you, Chloe! I already told you, it was for a project!"

Chloe mumbled something under her breath. Juliet arched an eyebrow. "What was that?"

Chloe rolled her eyes. "I said, I liked you better when you were all shy and scared of everyone. Now you're making friends and-and... You're just going to leave me! Just like Sabrina!" Tears formed at the corners of her eyes and she sniffed.

Juliet was taken aback. Chloe never broke down like this. She put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

"Hey...it's ok. I'm not leaving you. I would never leave you, Chloe. You're my best friend." Juliet wrapped her arms around the female and hushed her. "Don't cry. It's alright."

Juliet pulled away and wiped the tears from Chloe's eyes. She gave her a smile. "Everything's alright. I'm not leaving. You're stuck with me."

Chloe gave a small chuckle. "Yeah...I guess you're right." Juliet giggled.

"How about ice cream at André's after school?" Juliet offered. Chloe smiled. Her cheeks a light pink tint, she gave a curt nod.

"I'd like that...bestie."
