She took in a deep breath. Finally she was in Sydney.
Sometimes all one dreams of is a different life. A happy life and thats what she wanted. With a big smile on her face, she took her luggage trolley and came out of the airport arrivals.
"MAAAASII!", Keya shouted as soon as she saw a middle-aged woman waiting to receive her.
"Keya! How are you my child?", She asked giving her a bone crushing hug.
"I am fine, how is 50s treating you?!", she asked jokingly.
"Oh shut up! I am not a day older than 16!", she said rolling her eyes as they walked to the parking.
"You are still the same!", she said keeping hand on her shoulder.
They drove home while talking about random things.
"Coffee and Cookies?", Her Maasi asked.
"Sure.", she said going to the guestroom and keeping her bags on one side.Gorging on cookies she said, "I will just need a week to find a house. Post that I promise not to irritate you anymore."
"You are not going anywhere. Thats an order.", her Maasi said with a stern face."But Maasi? How can I stay with you?", she argued.
"First of all, Call me Vee like everyone here does. No Maasi, nothing. Secondly, if you call me by my name, we are friends, so you can stay with your friend.", she explained.
"But..", Keya tried to argue.
"Keya, sweetheart, it was my promise to your mom that I will take care of you when you come up to me.", she explained with a small smile.
"She told you a lot of things. Didn't she?", Keya asked with a small distracted smile.
"Yes she did. But don't complain, she had to do what she had to.", Vee tried to explain.
"I understand.", Keya said with a small smile.
"I am going to bed now. I have classes from tomorrow itself.", she said and got up.

Aarav was getting ready for a club night with his best bud Sameer Khanna a.k.a Sam.
He had pursued his bachelors from Australia and now he was going to pursue his masters and settle up his business here itself. He received a call from a number.
A-Hey Babe
N-Hi Honey, Nancy here, how is the scene tonight?
A- Yes, the plan is on, will pick you up in 5.
N- I am waiting.
A- Okay babe.Aarav smirked to himself, "Sure. I am Aarav Kohli, all girls wait for him."
Sameer lived next door to him.
"Sam! Lets go!", He shouted from his balcony to Sameer's.
That was their usual thing.
Sameer and Aarav were friends since college, Sameer's parents had shifted to Australia a long time ago and were permanent residents of the country.
He lived separately from his parents to become independent, but he did visit them often in Melbourne.
They met at their graduate college. They met at the staircase of the apartment and rushed out.
Sitting in the car, Aarav said, "We have to pick up Shirley on the way.", he said looking at his phone.
"Your current girlfriend's name is Nancy.", Sam reminded.
"Yeah, whatever.", he said rolling his eyes.
"Seriously, why don't you get in a serious relationship?", he asked.
"Because I have no time for that nonsense.", he reasoned.
"Oh yeah, stay single for life then.", Sam replied.
"Mom will find a nice girl for me.", he said.
"Achha? Mom definitely will, but think about who will say yes to a guy who has had so many relationships?", Sam asked with a raised brow.
"Koi toh hogi, sidhi-sadi si..", he said dramatically.
"Remember my words, for you, there will be a girl who will make you dance on your fingers, she won't be like your girlfriends crying about her broken nails, she will be the one who will make you cry, and I promise I will be there. I will be there to take her side and laugh.", he said laughing and imagining.
"We will see!", Aarav said rolling his eyes as they stopped by at Nancy's apartment.Nancy came in 15 minutes later, dressed in a see through red net dress, looking smoking hot with ample amount of cleavage.
"Ooh.", Aarav said with a smirk getting out of the car.
"Sure.", Sam said rolling his eyes and getting out of the car.
"Hi baby!", Nancy said giving him a clingy hug on his neck, kissing his cheek and leaving imprints of blood red lipstick.
Giving in a gracious smile, though he was irritated, "You look hot, babe!", he complimented.
"Ooh, Can I sit ahead Sam? I want to sit with him while he drives.", she said running a finger along Aarav's abs through his shirt.
"Sure.", Sam said with a fake smile, throwing a handkerchief on Aarav to wipe the lipstick and taking the rear seat. The club was a typical scene. Loud music, booze, drunk people grinding on each other.
Sam just sat at a corner and ordered beer for himself.
He was always away from all the crowd and Aarav was always around people, poles apart but still their values and character was what really clicked together.Aarav had a shot or two and then Nancy pulled him to dance which was basically Nancy clinging on to him, posing in suggestive moves.
The night went by in a blur."Nancy, come on, you need to get to your home.", Aarav said struggling to make a drunk Nancy climb her apartment stairs.
"But I want to go to Your Home, CUTIEEE..", She said in a drunk tone pulling Aarav's cheeks.
"Come on!", he literally pushed her up to her house.
He came down 10 minutes later and got in the car as Sam started driving."What was she saying?", Sam asked.
"The usual. They drink and then they can't handle themselves, she wanted to sleep with me.", he replied with a shrug.
"Girls are falling all over you. And you don't even look at them.", Sam said joking.
"I date them, casual relationships and maybe even making out to an extent is fine but taking advantage of a person who is not in their senses is not in my values and I cannot ever think of it.", he replied.
"Aww..Look at the softy behind the charming lad.", Sam teased.
Aarav just rolled his eyes.
It was sure a good night. And the college would be amazing from the next day.
