It was a quite bitter cold day in the country of Britannia. The snows crept alongside the trunks of the trees, and icicles dangled threateningly above on the edges of cliffs. Small creatures such as the squirrels and the insects had burrowed themselves away within their hiding places, awaiting the end to this long and dangerous season.

The lawfully redeemed faction: The Seven Deadly Sins, had made camp here in the wilderness of the north. At the very top of the cliff above, a band of New Generation Holy Knights stood guard, preventing anyone from making trade with the northern kingdoms.

These knights would've once been loyal to the Sins, however there was no such trust on their minds anymore. They were loyal to the long defeated Lord Hendrickson and had transformed into the red demons who were mindless and destructive. Everything that King Liones refused to tolerate for the safety of his people.

The Boar Hat stood in the mouth of a cave at the bottom of the mountain. The fireplace was constantly lit to ensure warmth for all those inside. They were unable to directly attack due to them holding the townspeople hostage.

Meliodas sat beside the fire, calmly roasting a piece of meat at the end of a spit. The juicy chicken meat was tender and appetizing. Hawk had of course been half worried that they were cooking pig's meat.

A hand clasped the Dragon Sin of Wrath on the shoulder with vigor. He moved his jade eyes up at the looming figure of Ban towering over him. His smile and twisted scar along his neck were unmistakable. As was his grey hair and red leather outfit that left most of his chest exposed. His red eyes damned anyone who looked at them. But Meliodas didn't fear the man that couldn't be killed in the slightest.

"Hey Captain." he greeted in a snide tone that would generally be taken as offensive to most others. But the Sins were used to his condescending outlook on life and had learned to like it.

"Hey Ban. Want some of this?" he offered him some of the chicken, but Ban declined with a shake of his head. He took a seat on the chair next to him and warmed himself.

Soon after, King sat down as well. His mousy brown locks had grown significantly and made him look all the more like a child. Though, all fairies tend to resemble little children, so the issue was nonexistent. His matching brown eyes gazed at the fire and never looked away.

"The flames are...beautiful aren't they?" he asked suddenly after an uncomfortable moments of silence.

The other two Sins grinned at this. They could tell that the Grizzly Sin of Sloth was drunk. When he was intoxicated, he would take to being overly dramatic about things.

"King how much did you have to drink?" Ban asked him with a playful punch to the shoulder. He shrugged in response, never taking his eyes off the dancing orange fire in front of him. King was seeing without seeing. In the flames he envisioned the one thing he wanted more than anything else: to be with the woman he loved. The woman whom he always see but never truly understand.

"What's the problem King?" Meliodas asked with his curiosity now at it's peak. Then she arrived. The woman who Ban loved. Elaine. She came into the room sporting a fine white gown that sparkled as flames danced off of it. She and Ban smiled at one another and King still didn't seem to break his concentration on the fire.

"Hey King your sister's here." Meliodas told him. He didn't break his focus though. Just kept imagining...her...and how much he would miss her...

"Brother?" she asked him with her smile now faded. She came closer to her brother and whispered in his ear.

"Is it your time?" she asked him quietly with uncertainty. "Time for you to go?" He nodded in reply with a small tear stinging his eye. When he thought of Diane, he felt such pain. Such want and love. An urge to protect her and to keep her safe from those who would harm her. Just as he had done with Helbram. Helbram...
