Yggdrasil glows dimly to the small infection violating its roots. Not a sickness nor a parasite but the aftermath of a former event.

The only other living creatures was a dragon. Long and black with four wings along their long back.
Four sets of eyes and long horns that grow a little ways past it's long snout.

Fell dragons, the ones who will end it all, they roam around the base of the world tree.

Torah, A large centaur the size Eiffel tower. A creature with a nick for destruction and roams around the bottom of the world tree.

Fen Mati, A infestation of bug like people. Skin green like grass and big dull yellow eyes. She feeds on the world trees leaves.

The creatures lingered around the base of Yggdrasil. Their eyes roamed each other but no words were said.

The beginning of the world's was starting and the creatures knew it wasn't big enough for the three of them. Someone had to go. They fought once and it seem they met their match in some ways.

"Fighting like this just won't do" The green one spoke. Her voice was silvery and didn't match her appearance. "But I will make sure I'll survive."

The centaur grunts through his nose as he tighten his fist. "Torah refuses to stand down." His deep voice said.

The dragon remains silent as the two speak. This certainty will not end without a body or a another fight. The dragon hisses slightly at the wound inflicted by the centaur on their it's side. In a different case of events he would have killed the two easily but since they were just birthed it's power was still coming through  and would take a long time to have full control. Perhaps he can simply convince them to be at peace until they were at full strength but it was sure that they weren't dense enough to let him do that.

The two stopped arguing after a while before silence overcame them once more. Nothing but the hum of Yggdrasil was heard and the flaps of  wings. The world around then was vast and empty. Not a single other vessel was around. Yggdrasil shook slightly. They haven't much time left.

"My friends we are kin of Yggdrasil and we are equals, but it seems neither of you wish to stay this way. I have a proposition. It is clear we can not best each other in battle at the moment and it is clear that in the future that our full power will bring mass destruction and suffering. So why not let a weaker vessel do they fighting for us?" The dragon said.

"Weaker....vessel. Do you propose we use humans? Or Asgardians? How would that work dragon?" Fen Mati asked flying at bit higher.

"Torah will not let such pathetic creatures fight his war" Torah responded.

The dragon did consider  what Fen Mati said at first but knew it would not do. The decision it was about to make pains it. For it knew it must answer the countless questions and withstand the boiling hatred and anger.

"Weaker vessels as in our own kin." It said slowly. "But in a wager. Loser slumbers for a million nights."

"And the other?" Asked the green one.

"We create a hybrid. One with each of our power. This will be our greatest weapon. It will lead the war and end it by deciding who it sides with. Simply who ever dies or yields first sleeps the latter doesn't get such mercy." The dragon said.

It was silent once more.

"Torah accepts your terms dragon."

"It's a fair gamble. But what if it chosen none of us?" Asked Fen Mati.

"It has to. I'll make sure of it personally."

"Then I agree to your terms."

The time has come the worlds are born and history starts.

The time has come fate weaves the stars.
