"Hello?"

"Where are you!?" I hear Sage yell.

"Quit it!" Hazel argues.

I sigh. "I'm racing alright?"

"Hazel fucked up our plans on a car." I hear Sage again. "Can you sort something out?"

I run my fingers through my hair in frustration. "I'll see what I can do."

"Hurry it up, Dolan." Sage says before hanging up.

I grab my bag and board, throwing them both out the window. I held Carson's diary in my hand as my feet lead me to Grayson's room. The keys on his desk catch my eye, I swipe them quickly. When I get back to my room I realise I won't be able to get out without them knowing. If I leave when they don't know, it will buy more time.

My phone starts to ring causing me to panic. I then hear footsteps coming toward my room. I put the keys in my pocket quickly, and I hide the diary behind my back. The door pushes open slowly, revealing Gray.

"You okay?"

I nod out of breath.

He looks around my room and notices the emptiness. He walks toward my open window and looked down.

"Where are you going, Ethan?"

"Before you give me the you can't run away from your problems speech, you have to understand that-"

"I'm not going to give you any speech." He stared. "I understand it all."

"I have to get out of here, Gray. Everything I do, it reminds me of her."

"I'm sorry." He says quietly. "I caused all of this."

"It's okay." I whisper. "I'm going to fix it."

Grayson pulls me into a hug and I held him back.

"I guess I'll go distract mom and dad so they don't hear you leave. And please don't destroy my car." He smirks

I laugh nervously and he begins to walk out of my room. "Also, make sure you keep in touch. It'll be nice knowing you're not dead."

I nod with a laugh. "Of course."

He then turned around, took a deep breath and yells. "Mom! Dad! The kitchens on fire!"

I jump out of the window and I grab my board and bag. When I get to the car I throw everything in. The car starts and I pull out as quick as I could. My phone was still buzzing like crazy, I ignore as the school came into view.

Hazel and Sage stood there with another figure. I pull over and I get out.

"Bout time." Sage teases with his arms crossed.

Hazel stood with a smile on her lips. And behind her stood James. Who looked almost frightened.

"What's he doing here?"

"Well, I thought I would warn James. Seeing he's timeless and in danger too?"

"We're in danger?" He asks with fear.

Hazel laughs and shakes her head. "No."

"Just a little." Sage chimes in.

James walks toward me and stares at me softly. "A girl that I loved committed suicide. A girl that was supposed to love me, didn't, and I need to know why."

"This is going to be dangerous. You know that?"

He nodded slowly. "I need answers."

I look at Sage and shrugs his shoulders. "We're all here for the same reason, Dolan."

"Okay." I breathe. "Stay out of my way."

James nods slowly and Hazel embraces me in her arms.

"I'm glad you're okay." She mumbles into my chest.

"Okay, that's enough." Sage groans. "I'll take the first few hours driving, you all sort out who's next."

"I'll drive next." Hazel says as she let's go. "We better get a move on."

We pack the car quickly and we were off. I sat in the front seat, Carson's diary was on my lap. I was reading to see if she left any information about where the timeless people would be. It was far. And I had no idea where how she got there. Carson had walked everywhere and it had seemed odd.

Carson diary was on my lap as I flip through pages. Her writing was messy, so I could almost read it. I knew that this is what she would have wanted. I'm doing this all for her.
