Hilda chuckled a balled up piece of paper at the boy sitting in front of her.
He ran his hand through his brown hair and whipped around, "What?" He hissed.
"What'cha doin'?" Hilda asked. The girl next to Hilda snickered.
The brown haired boy glared at Hilda, "We're supposed to behave while Ms. April is getting the visitor!"
Hilda stuck her tongue out at the boy, "Why would we behave? No one else is!" She argued, gesturing to the rest of the chaotic classroom.
The boy sitting on the other side of Hilda ran a hand through his blue hair, "Yeah Ace, loosen up!"
Ace rolled his green eyes, "Sorry that I'm not looking to get in trouble, Gabe."
Gabe shrugged, "Maybe you should."
The girl next to Hilda rolled her eyes, "You're all idiots." She said, her long purple hair swaying as she shook her head.
Finally, the teacher reentered the room and scolded the teens for this misconduct. Hilda smirked and rolled her eyes, not caring much about what Ms. April had to say.
Then, she said something that got Hilda's attention, "Today, you all are going to pick a Pokémon at random, and raise it for the week. The person who bonds the most with their Pokémon and takes the best care of it will get twenty extra credit points on their final."
Hilda stood up and slammed her hands on the table, "Twenty?!" She shrieked, excitedly.
Ms. April sighed, "Yes, Hilda. Now sit down."
Hilda's friends snickered as she sat down.
A student in the front raised their hand, "So we have to give the Pokémon back at the end of the week?"
The teacher nodded, "Yes."
Hilda crossed her arms, "That's gonna be rough..."
Gabe spoke without raising his hand, "So where are these Pokémon coming from? Just here?"
"Yes," Ms. April answered, "and I know it may be a bit difficult to connect to your Pokémon at first, so we brought in an expert on Pokémon to assist anyone who may need it."
At that moment, a Zoroark came into the room, pushing a cart full of Pokéballs. A tall, thin man with long green hair trailed in after it.
Hilda nearly choked.
Ms. April smiled at the visitor, "Class, this is Mr. Harmonia. He'll be assisting you all with this project over the next week."
Mr. Harmonia waved nervously, "You can all call me N."
A few girls swooned.
Hilda glared at her friend, who was one of the girls who swooned.
The teacher demanded the attention of her class, "Now class, you are all going to come here one at a time and grab a Pokéball. Whatever Pokémon is inside will be your partner for the next week."
So, one at a time, each student came up and took a Pokéball from the cart. They went up in alphabetical order, so Hilda was, of course, last to pick.
Hilda put a bit of thought into which Pokéball she picked, finally picking one in the corner of the cart. She looked up at N, who smiled at her.
"You picked a good one," He said. He suddenly grabbed a brown paper bag from his bag and handed it to Hilda, "You left your lunch at home."
Hilda took her lunch from her boyfriend, "Oh thanks, Honey." She said, pulling N into a kiss by his shirt collar.
Zoroark gagged and Hilda's classmates gasped.
When they pulled away, Hilda turned to her classmates, "Relax." She told them.
Ms. April shook away her shock and ushered the rest of the class and N outside.
She took Hilda by the arm and pulled her aside, "How old are you?" She asked.
"Eighteen." Hilda groaned, as if she got this question often.
N waited in the doorway for his girlfriend. Hilda strolled over to him after placing her lunch on her desk, and took his hand. The couple followed Hilda's classmates outside into the courtyard.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming here today?" Hilda asked accusingly.
N gave a laugh, "It was a surprise, my queen."
Hilda glanced at Zoroark, who was trotting in all fours next to Hilda. Zoroark rolled his eyes.
"Did you think I was going to be angry?"
N sighed, "Yes..." he admitted.
Hilda giggled and squeezed N's hand, "You're silly! I'm glad you're here! It makes all of this waaay better!"
"You know I have to help the other student though, right? I'm not here just to cuddle you all day."
Hilda smirked, "We'll see about that."
Hilda's friends slowed their pace to walk with Hilda.
"Well who would've known that your man would be our Pokémon guy?" The girl with purple hair asked, "Y'all breaking up any time soon?"
"We don't plan on it, Victoria." Hilda smirked.
Gabe smiled down at the Pokéball he held, "Isn't this exciting? I can't wait to meet this little guy!"
N chuckled, "I don't know about 'little'..."
Gabe's face lit up like he had an idea. He suddenly tapped Hilda's shoulder, "Last one there's a Slowpoke!" He chirped, dashing off to the courtyard.
Victoria gave a devilish smile, "No way I'm losing!" She said, rushing after Gabe.
Ace turned to Hilda, shrugged and ran after his friends.
Hilda was about to run, but remembered she was tethered to N.
N smiled at his girlfriend, "Go ahead."
With the green light, Hilda released N and sprinted after the trio.
Ms. April appeared next to N and yelled after the teens, "Don't run!"
N laughed, "It's a lost cause with her. She's very stubborn."
Zoroark nodded.
Ms. April groaned, "I know..."
