Chapter: 7

When Brittany walked back in I guess she thought I was still asleep. I heard her fumbling around, gathering her things. I laid there thinking of why she had to meet Jeremy this early. Like I get that their friends, but Brittany has Charlie. It's 5 o'clock for crying out loud. And Bittany's my best friend, how could she do something like this to me. Wait, what the hell am I talking about? I could feel myself getting really hot. I was getting way too angry about this. But it just felt like I had this urge to fight for Jeremy.

"Armonie?" Brittany caught me in mid thought. I hope she didn't notice I was awake.

"Armonie, get up."

"Hmmm." I had to fake like I had just been waking up but it didn't seem like it was believable.

"I have to go. Okay?" I sat up and looked at her. I knew why but I still wanted to ask her just to see what her answer would be.

"Why?" She looked into my eyes. she looked sad.

"I'm going to Charlie's house." At that moment I just felt hurt. How could Brittany lie right to my face like this.

"Oh okay. I'll see you later." I said looking away from her not wanting her to notice the hurt that, I know, showed in my eyes.

"Okay. I'll see you." She got up from my bed and headed out the door. when I heard the front door slam shut, I ran to the window and watched as Brittany got in her car and pulled off. I quickly pulled some sweats on and flip-flops. I don't why I was even doing this, but I ran down the steps, out the front door and to my car. I heard her tell Jeremy to meet her at the creek so that's where I was headed. When I was almost there, I spotted her car on the side of the road. I pulled over and parked. I sat there for second to figure out why she would leave her car here if she was going to the creek. There's a road that takes you straight to the beginning of the creek. I got out and looked around. After a while I realized that, from where I was, the creek was on the other side off the forest that lined the edge of the road. But it still didn't make any sense to me. I leaned up against Brittany's car just thinking. As I stood there I just stared into the Forest. I started to feel warm and comfortable. The forest was pulling me in. With out even meaning to I started to walk towards the forest. I was right at the edge when something told me to look down. when I did, I saw a foot step. That urged me to look closer, when I did I could see the narrow outline of a path. I looked back at the road, debating if I should even still be here. What ever it was that gave me the confidence to step into that forest and follow the path that would take me to God knows where, it scared me but it was to late to turn back now. I was deep in the forest now. I have no idea how but I could hear water. It didn't seem like I would be able to as soon as I did; I had been walking for only about 15 minutes. After I took a few more steps. I could see the creek. I stepped out of the bush so I could see a little better. I looked up and down the side of the creek when I spotted a pile of clothes. I walked over to it to get a better look. I was instantly filled with anger when I did. It was the clothes Brittany had on last night, her under clothes too, which means she was naked where ever she was. She was naked with Jeremy. I saw a pair of sweats and boxers, They had to be Jeremy's, they smelled like him. I was so angry. I was so hot and I just felt like I wanted to explode and become something completely different; something inhuman. I've never been so angry in my life, it was kind of crazy and I didn't even care. I heard some foot steps and snapped out of it real quick. I didn't know what or who it was so i took off in the same direction I had come. I was running so fast I could have sworn that it took no less thin 5 minuets to get back to where my car was. I ran over to my car got in and started the car as fast as I could. As I pulled off, I took one last glance at the forest. I saw a wolf. And the strangest thing is that it reminded me of Jeremy.
