Chiharu panted as she hid behind a stone. She had been so close to the ground when Ishi decided to save her. Now though Ishi was being relentless in her attacks not caring whether she was hurt or not. “Chiharu I thought I already went over this. You can’t hide from me.” Ishi said jumping over the stone her gloves forming the ice. Chiharu rolled out of the way. She wasn’t born to fight or deal damage. She had been raised to be a proper young lady, a woman to respect not fight just to live.

How am I supposed to fight the captain of the squad? It’s impossible! Chiharu thought. “Nothing’s impossible Chiharu.” Ishi said pausing for just a moment. Then she continued her attack after Chiharu stood up. Chiharu thought about it. Her parents told her to never speak of the voices she heard. To act like she had little to no spiritual energy. But here she could embrace it. Chiharu could reach her full potential. If only she could win against Ishi. She just had to manifest her weapon and she’d win. Ishi was getting closer as Chiharu took a breath as energy collected in her hand. Ishi narrowed her eyes and slammed into her making her break concentration. Chiharu flew into a tree and coughed up blood. But again she concentrated.

Ishi was farther away which gave her more time. Then she felt herself falling. Ishi used teleport and threw her over the waterfall again! Chiharu didn’t let the fear win and take over. She took a calming breath and focused harder. It formed in her hands.  She opened her palms. Inside were bracelets. They reached out and clasped around her small wrists as she the created fire. She’d always loved fires. And their intense glows. How strong and ferocious they were. The fire helped soften her blow.

Ishi was already waiting down at the bottom. Chiharu couldn’t muster the energy to stand up. “That’s what you get. You can’t just concentrate manifest, get broken out and hurry manifest right after. It wears down even more. That’s why I broke you out of it... a concentrate manifest is temporary. A hurried manifest is permanent.” Ishi said walking over to the exhausted girl. “But you did well. Chiharu.” Ishi said. Chiharu smiled. Hizume and Hachi told her Ishi barely gave out compliments, even before when she was more of a loud mouth.

Chiharu and Mamoru were both really worried. Why were Ritsuka and Keiichi taking so long? Had he killed her? Temari and the others were with them. Ishi sighed, “Next lesson will be on controlling thoughts and placing mind barriers. We can’t tell if she won or not Keiichi isn’t allowing us access right now so we’re just gonna have to wait.” She said. Mamoru and Chiharu were slightly embarrassed. Hizume puffed out air, “You don’t think he would….?” Ishi looked at her. “I don’t know I mean its Keiichi.” Hochi and Hachi sighed and nodded in agreement. “Sadly I agree with Ishi.” Temari said. Mamoru and Chiharu both yelled, “Don’t just leave us out!” Temari rolled her eyes. “Keiichi’s a pervert no telling what could be going on.” She said. Realization dawned on the other two. “HE BETTER NOT!” Mamoru yelled.

“As indecent as they make me sound no I don’t touch kids.” Keiichi said making everyone but Ishi jump. Ishi just glanced out of the corner of her eye. “Keiichi I thought we went over this already don’t scare the others.” She said. Ritsuka was bloody and beaten behind Keiichi. “Where’s your weapon?” Hizume asked narrowing her eyes. “It can’t fit in the door.” Ritsuka said weaving on her feet. Temari said, “Keiichi! Honestly you should’ve held back a little! She is a child!” Temari gently picked up the wounded little girl. “I’d kill you but I can’t waste the time. Ritsuka needs to be treated!” Temari scolded as she then scampered off down the barracks ignoring Ritsuka’s giant weapon. Ishi and the others though were curious. As they stepped outside they all got sweat drops.

It was a giant cross that must be at least twice as big as Ritsuka. Its pointed tip was embedded in the ground with the longer side facing up showing off its barrel. The trigger was hug in the circle at the center of the cross, but it also had a twin right next to it. They were chained together. “Yeah I doubt that’d fit through the door.” Ishi said breaking the silence making everyone laugh. “Who knew that the girl’s weapon would be this big?” Hochi said laughing. The others began to laugh to. They knew this would probably be the last time they laugh in a long time.

Mako was stirring and building his army soon he’d unleash it on the soul society and they had to stop it or the soul society will be destroyed.
