The sun had yet to peek over the horizon when an alarm went off, bringing sound to a quiet room in a small Daegu home. The sound echoed against white walls, vibrating the rickety end table. Two beds were tucked on opposite sides of the room, both occupied by warm bodies sound asleep. Finally the alarm aroused one of the room's occupants who, after realizing what day it was, pounced on the other with a ferocious excitement.

"Hyung. HYUNG. Yoongi hyung wake up!". Yoongi groaned, absolutely appalled at the idea of waking up at such an ungodly hour. He shoved his attacker off, pulling the covers over his head to block the alarm, sinking back into a peaceful sleep.

His peace was short lived, however, as his blankets were ripped from his grip, letting the cool morning air hit his skin and making him hiss. Yoongi opened his eyes to glare at his roommate who returned it with a look glee.

"Taehyung what the fuck-"

"Today is The Claim, hyung, and we need to be at the city hall before dawn or we get left." Taehyung perched himself on his knees, grabbing Yoongi's arm and pulling him up off the mattress. Yoongi groaned.

"Do we have too?"

"Yes hyung. It's law." Taehyung rolled his eyes at his hyung's annual question as he pulled Yoongi into a sitting position before heading to the bathroom, his long purple hair bouncing as he walked.

Yoongi let his head fall into his hands, his fingers tugging at his mint green hair, as a yawn escaped his lips. He had forgotten it was today. The Claim: a mandatory event that had haunted Yoongi his entire life, even if he had only been attending for three years. The idea of sitting in the big arena watching as people got to find the love of their life was not appealing to the 19 year old. Not only had he lost hope ( which he will deny he ever had ) that he would get picked, he also didn't want to be. Yoongi didn't believe in true love for himself, despite all the proof that it existed. He had given his all one too many times and paid the price for it. he just didn't find love worth the trials and tribulations, especially at his young age.

Yet whenever The Claim came around, Yoongi could feel the hope and naivety from his childhood climb up his throat. It could fuck off, honestly. He refused to believe he could ever be picked.

Yoongi sighed, finally turning off that wretched alarm before joining Taehyung in getting ready.

The sun was peeking over the horizon when the brothers' parents dropped them off at city hall. The front steps were crawling with people all ranging from 16 to 25, Werewolf and Human, all chatting with fevered excitement. They were leaving Daegu today, going to the bright city of Seoul to attend the second Claim event of the year. Fall had begun to settle in, the cool air blowing through orange colored trees, ruffling hair and cooling nerves.

Beside Yoongi, Taehyung bounced in utter joy, his lips pulled back into a wide smile. Yoongi seemed like the only one not fascinated by the ordeal, sinking farther into their chosen bench as he covered his head with his hood and closed his eyes to chase the sleep he lost.

"Come on hyung, cheer up." Taehyung grabbed his brother by the arm, shaking Yoongi enthusiastically to keep him awake. "This is supposed to be a fun event!"

"Maybe fun for you", Yoongi said with a yawn, "You always have people jumping at the chance to claim you."

Taehyung always had a number of candidates at the Claim ever since his last year debut. Somehow, no matter where they went, those wolves smelled him out with ease and pursued him even after hearing he rejects everyone. It amazed Yoongi. He'd always known Taehyung was attractive and a magnet to others but not to this extent.

In all honesty, Yoongi was a bit jealous.

He wished he was as charismatic as his brother, pulled not pushed. But here he was. Alone with no one but his brother.

Finally, the buses pulled up, creating clouds of thick exhaust in the air. The mob of young hopefuls surged forward, ready to boards and, hopefully, meet the loves of their lives.

Taehyung stood, stretching his back in a graceful arc, before turning back to face Yoongi with determination etched in his face.

" This time is different hyung. Our luck is changing. Something is gonna happen, I can feel it."

Yoongi finally stood, mindlessly wiping the front of his jeans. "Yeah. Maybe for you.", he replied before heading towards the buses, leaving the omega with a confused scowl on his face.

The sibling boarded the buses, choosing to sit together as always. Yoongi popped in an earbud before offering Taehyung one who took it graciously before laying his head down on Yoongi's shoulder. Yoongi smiled fondly, smoothing his brother's hair before laying his head on top of his.

Suddenly, just before the buses headed on their way, Yoongi felt a pull. A tug, right at his heart, coming from the north specifically from the road to Seoul.

Yoongi frowned, his eyebrows etched in confusion before dismissing the feeling acting as if it didn't exist.

But even he couldn't deny, as the buses pulled off, that this time was different.
