"Hey Kevin, how far does this road takes us?"
"How should I know?"
"..."
"What? Do you expect me to know everything?"

Deilson let out a sigh as he glare at his niece sleeping. Looking back at the empty road, his feet stepped on the gas pedal a bit harder as he saw a huge mansion. "Finally, something else than boring forest and trees."
He parked the car at the entrance, headlights shined the tall and wide metal gates. "Ezhan, Ezhan. Time to wake up." Deilson shaked her shoulder softly.
The young teenager rubbed her eyes. "Are we there yet?"
Kevin rolled his eyes. "I fail to see why you insist me to join."
Deilson looked back. "You're an expert and if there's anything, you'll be there to cover our back." Deilson killed the engine and stepped out of the car.

Deilson breathe in the cold midnight air. "Ha, I just realised. We're like the Mystery Gang from Scooby Doo."
"I wonder who's the dog." Kevin took out a camera.
"Very funny Kevin."
Ezhan zipped her jacket and tied her hair.
"What's with the ponytail?" Deilson asked.
Ezhan placed her hands on her hips and swung her hair. "This is to make sure you guys don't mistaken me for a ghost."
Deilson's expression went blank.
"I've seen alot of ghost movies and majority ghost don't tie their hair." Ezhan explained.
"I don't get it." Deilson's reply annoyed her.

Kevin ignored the conversation and focused on the mansion. Through his camera, there were no glitches or static noise. Not knowing what creature they'll find, but at least he know the infamous Slenderman won't be here. He beamed his camera's flashlight towards the gate and found a broken padlock on the floor.

"Deilson, Ezhan. Stay sharp."
Kevin's warning broke their conversation.
"W-why?" Ezhan uncomfortably asked.
Kevin pushed the gate, making a creaking sound. "We're not the first visitors... so let's not be the last."
Goosebumps crawled all over her body. "By last you mean d-dead?"
Deilson shrugged as he followed Kevin inside.
"W-wait!" Ezhan ran to her uncle. "Don't leave me alone."

...

"Should've brought a flashlight." Deilson murmured in the dark mansion.
"Don't worry," Ezhan reached for her pockets and took out her smartphone. "We can use our phones, technology makes life easier."
"Great idea." Deilson checked his pockets but couldn't find his. "Wait what...? Oh shit! I left my phone at home."
"Dumbass." Kevin mocked as he examine the staircase closely.
"Dammit, i was too busy drawing for Instagram that i forgot to bring it."

Why do i have a retard for an uncle? Ezhan questioned herself. "I'm disappointed, i'll stick with Kevin for now ok?" She quickly followed Kevin up the stairs.
"Seriously? Fine, i don't need any light anyway. I got night vision you know"

Kevin and Ezhan ignored as they entered a room, leaving him to drown in darkness. Great, just great. Deilson stomped his feet, accidentally breaking the wooden floor. Barely able to see the damage he have done, he caught a bright idea. Tearing the broken plank from the floor, he held it and concentrated all the heat to his palm. The plank burst into flame. He took his other hand and held the opposite of the burning part as he shook his slightly burnt hand.

"Who needs flashlight when you can make your own bonfire. Wait, what do you call this... fire? I don't think it's called bonfire... no bonfire is the campfire. Hmm..." Deilson glared at the torch as he tries to remember the name. "Argh, who cares? It's not like i'll enter a spelling B competition." Shrugging himself, Deilson starts to wander around the mansion.
