Chapter 11 (Did that really just happen?)

I bit my lip as my eye sight started to go blurry from tears. How did she know I had feelings for him, I never told her anything. She closed her eyes and dropped the tuner on the ground, then she ran her hand through his hair and down his neck which only caused me to cry harder. That should be me. I leaned back against the wall behind the locker and slowly sank down to the ground with my head in my hands. It felt like the whole world was spinning faster than the speed of light, which in retrospect, it sorta was. Shawn was my world and Katie took my world away- or at least I thought she did.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Shawn exploded, forcefully pushing Katie off of him. Katie looked at me and smiled.

"Oh Shawn, just admit it. You liked it."

"NO, NO I DIDN'T!"

"It's ok. I won't tell Melissa that this happened", Katie stepped closer to him and lightly rubbed her hand on his shoulder.

"It'll be our little secret."

By now, it looked like Shawn was trying his best not to knock her out. He inhaled deeply then swatted her hand off of his shoulder.

"All I want is my tuner." he said calmly as he reached down and grabbed the tuner. Before he left Katie, he walked up to her so that their faces were inches apart.

"Besides, I don't date narsistic, self-centered, sluts"

he spat at her, then walked away (in the opposite direction so he didn't see me). Katie watched him walk away in shock. Nobody denies Katie, she always gets what she wants, nor do they say things like that to her face. I wiped my face with my sleeves and ran for the band room. Did that really just happen? It's surprising enough that Katie would use him against me. But for him to resist her- whoa. I ran inside of the band room and set myself at the piano to make it look like I never left the room. A few minutes later the door opened and Shawn walked in with the most frustrated look I've ever seen, plastered on his face.

"Shawn" my voice cracked. God dammit. He looked at me and his frustrated look was almost instantly wiped away. He smiled, reached over the piano and hugged me. At first, I was taken by surprise, but I quickly relaxed in his arms. We probably would have stayed in that position forever if it hadn't been for the bell.

What a lunch period.

Sorry for such a short chapter. I promise you, the next chapter will be up soon and it will be longer. I might not post tomorrow though 'cause it's my birthday tomorrow but we'll see. Maybe I will, maybe I won't.
