Experience Told You...
You didn't go to the Host Club that often. You only went to help them out when you didn't have guitar practice. Rehearsals only allowed you one free day every two weeks.
One day, while you were assisting the club, you had completely forgotten about your plan to make Kyoya see that you weren't so bad.
You were offering Haruhi some tips although she clearly didn't need any.
Suddenly the twins' act caught your attention. You began to walk over to them. Having an idea that they could use, you wanted to tell it to them. The twins were about to finish up with some guests as it was almost time to switch.
The session was wrapped up and the girls moved on. Since the twins didn't have another appointment at that moment, you presented your idea to them.
"Hey, guys!" You called out to them as you approached them.
They both turned to look at you. "What is it, [y/n]-senpai?" They wondered.
It was at this point where you began to stumble over your lines. "I have great idea for a new twinces ack!" You announced, then questioned your words.
You meant to say "twincest act" but you accidentally skipped the last two Ts.
"Twinces? Twincess?" You repeated to yourself as they each raised an eyebrow at you.
When an idea quickly came to you to try and play it off, you clapped your hands together in front of you. "Yes!" You pointed your clasped hands at the twin on the left, "Twincess Hikaru," then at the twin on the right, "and Twincess Kaoru." You separated your hands to point with open palms at both of them. "Congratulations, you are both now royalty." You dictated as you have them a mocking bow.
They blinked at you a few times before understanding that you replaced "Princess" with "Twincess". Standing there, they tried to figure out how to respond.
"So if we're the twincesses..." Hikaru began as he and his brother circled around you. "Who's our mother?" Kaoru finished, attempting to stump you.
They both peered into your face and you took the opportunity to take a step backwards from them.
Refusing to let them intimidate or stump you, you retained a cheerful demeanour as you responded. You clapped your hands once beside your head when you began to speak. "That would be the queen, of course." You noticed that your voice became a higher pitch.
As you focused your attention to bringing your pitch back to normal, you failed to notice the slight grin appearing on the twins' faces. They could see soneone approaching from behind you who you couldn't see as they already predicted what you were going to say next.
You raised your index finger in a matter-of-fact manner, your tone of voice contradicting the action. "More specifically, the Shadow Queen." You elaborated, referring to the vice-president of the Host Club himself.
Hikaru and Kaoru began snickering evilly to one another as you felt the presence of someone looming over you.
"Kyoya's standing right behind me, isn't he...?" You sighed, muttering.
You turned your head partially to catch a glimpse of the Demon Lord's signature purple aura which shows how angry he is. Quickly snapping your head back to the twins, you pretended that you didn't see him in the first place.
You cleared your throat nervously before adding on to your last thought. "And I guess that makes me the Court Jester." You quickly tried at on excuse to leave. "Now that I've made you twincesses laugh, it's time for me to go."
You made a run for the door as fast as you could. "See ya!"
Tamaki suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front if the three you left behind. "That makes me..." he announced melodramatically, pausing for effect, "KING!!!"
That was when the director finally decided to intervene. "[Y/N]! GET BACK ON SET!" He called. "We can't film without our heroine!"
When you walked back in through the door, you spoke your mind to him. "Could you at least say main character or something?" You requested. "Heroine sounds too much like a drug..."
A look of annoyance appeared on the director's face. "How many times we've done this scene, and you still can't say 'twincest' right!" He belted.
By the end, it was decided to skip the part with you verbally telling them your idea. You tried to say it right, but just couldn't get it.
Extra—Behind the Scenes:
Kyoya approached you afterwards. You became a little worried that he would be upset after you called him a queen; however he was there on a different matter.
"Remember when you called me a hypocrite during filming?" He asked to which you nodded. "I merely wanted to tell you that it's not just me who's the hypocrite."
"How do you mean?" You questioned.
A smirk rose on his face. "You just told the director not to call you the heroine because it sounds too much like a drug yet you referred to yourself by the same word." He pointed out.
A small smile played at your lips. "Good memory." You let out a very small chuckle. "You're right—that is hypocritical."
You closed the distance between the two of you. "But here's a word of advice, Kyoya..." You used you finger to beckon him to lean forward so that you could whisper in his ear. "Do as I say, not as I do." You stated simply before briskly walking away.
