Not Your Kidney...Your Heart (An Eyeless Jack Love Story)

Chapter 9: Others? Uh-Oh

Jack and I walked into the woods, hand-in-hand, occassionally sharing a kiss or two.

It was Friday, so Jack decided he would introduce me to the others, whatever that meant.

We continued walking until I saw a large house in the distance. It had two floors, and many windows, some of which were dimly lit. I was curious, but a little scared. I trusted Jack and his judgements, but I was still sketchy about this place as well as the people inside it.

"Um...Jack?" I asked, gripping his hand tighter.

"Yeah Julie?" he looked down at me.

"What is this place?"

He sighed and looked up at the building.

"I call it my home away from home. Almost everyone that I know lives here. Though it can be annoying being around all of them. That's why I have my own cabin in the woods (see what I did there? XD)" he explained.

We walked up, and Jack knocked on the front door before it opened revealing Slender.

"Hello Jack. Julie, it's lovely to see you again." he said, trying to put kindness into his into his harsh voice.

"It's nice to see you too, Slender." I replied.

We walked inside to a fairly large living space, filled with people; or beings. Some of them had masks; some of them had damaged faces; others had pretty inhuman features. Jack walked me towards the group and started introducing me to them.

"Julie, this is my so-called 'family'. The guy with the large smile and white hoodie is Jeff; the one with the feminine mask and orange jacket is Masky; the one in the orange hoodie is, well, Hoodie; the little girl in the pink dress is Sally; the guy in the black-and-white clown costume is Laughing Jack; there's Toby, whom you've already met; the girl with the clock in her eye is Clockwork; the guy with the stitiches on his face is Liu; the Pokemon guy with no limbs is Lost Silver; the one in the green hoodie is Bleeding Cross; the one in the black-and-white mask is Kagekao; the guy with the blue trench coat and smiling mask is Bloody Painter; the gyuy with the metal hand is Reggie; the guy with the lab coat and smiling face mask is Dr. Smiley; the girl with the black eyes is Judge Angels; and the guy with the yellow eyes is Puppeteer. Oh, and the cat is Grinny, and the dog is Smile."

They all said hello, and shook hands with me before going about their business. I sat down on the couch while Jack sat down next to me.

"Jack?" I started.

"Hmm?"

"Are all these people...you know...uh.."

"Yes. They're all killers." he interupted.

I sighed, worried if any of them were going to kill me.

"But don't worry. I'll make sure they don't hurt you. Most of them even swore to me they won't kill you."

I smiled at his response, hugging him. Then, a thought came to my mind.

"Ben isn't here, right?"

Silence followed my question, causing me to worry.

"I..I don't know Julie. Sometimes he's here; other times he isn't."

I nodded, hoping that Ben wasn't here. But karma had to stab me in the back.

"Hello Julie. Jack." I heard Ben say, putting a harsh cold emphasis on Jack's name.

Jack and I stood up, whirling around to see Ben behind the couch. Jack quickly pushed me behind him. I could tell that this wasn't going to be pretty.

Jack's POV

I quickly pushed Julie behind me, protecting her from theat demonic pervert that goes by the name of Ben.

"Ben. I told you. Stay. Away. From. Julie." I growled, baring my sharp teeth under my mask. Ben just smirked.

"Like I said, I couldn't possibly do that." He licked his lips a bit, leaving me disgusted.

"Ben. I'm warning you. Leave her alone, or else." I threatened.

"Or else what, Jack?" I just smiled.

"Or I'll beat you to a bloody pulp."

Ben smiled, bloody tears escaping from his eyes. I could feel the tar-like substance weeping from my sockets.

"Jack. Please don't." Julie protested quietly, laying a hand on my shoulder.

"No. I have to do this. I'll protect you. I promise." I said, looking over my shoulder to Julie.

Suddenly, I hear a shriek from Ben as he jumped from behind the couch, tackling me to the ground. Ben then started punching me wherever his fists could reach on my abdomen. Thinking quickly, I sat up, only to be taken into a head lock. I hit Ben in the stomach causing him to lose his grip. He fell to the ground. Not wasting a moment, I immediately sat on his stomach, pinning his arms in between my knees and his sides. Without hesitation, I started punching, thinking about what he's done to Julie. Then, as I went to lay another punch on Ben's face, I felt a hand grab my fist. I looked up, not only to see Slender, but everyone else around me. I looked around until I saw Julie, standing with Clockwork and Sally.

"Jack. It's alright. You can stop." Slender said.

I looked down at Ben. He had two black eyes, a bloody, and quite possibly broken nose, and lots of scars and bruises. I stood up as Slender released my fist. I could feel the bruises all over my chest and face. I could tell my mask was slightly cracked and I had a broken nose.

"Son of a bitch deserved it." I murmered as I walked away, taking Julie's hand. With that, we both walked out of the house.
