{Trigger warning}

Harold was sitting in his room staring at the text messages he and George had exchanged not 5 minutes ago.

George: sorry, can't hang out today, my dad wants to take me somewhere

Harold: oh, okay. Have fun, man

George: will you be okay?

Harold: ya, why wouldn't I be?

George: because your dad isn't here

Harold: oh, don't worry, I have Heidi to hang out with

George: that just confirms that you're not okay

Harold: how so?

George: you never want to hang out with your sister. You say it's always tea parties and dress up

Harold: true. You're lucky you don't have a sister, dude

George: maybe, but still

Harold: still what?

George: will you be okay today?

Harold: I'll be honest. I don't really know, yet

George: where's your mom?

Harold: out with my grandpa, why?

George: I was just thinking she could take you and Heidi out to do something, but I guess that's out

Harold: ya

George: well, my dad is calling me. Meet in the tree house tomorrow?

Harold: ya know it. Have fun, dude

George: will do. Bye

Harold: bye

Harold dreaded Father's Day. His father was in Navada, George was busy with his dad, his mom would take her dad out to some fancy restaurant, and he and Heidi would be stuck with their horrible babysitter, Kaylee. But just then, Harold has an idea.

Harold quickly got dressed in his usual green and white stiped t-shirt and brown shorts before going to get Heidi.

He walked down the hall and into her bedroom, to see her asleep, hunched over her tea table. He walked in and tried to gently shake her awake, to no avail. So instead, he picked her up and put her in her bed, tucking her in, then left.

Guess I'll just go by myself.. He thought as he approached his front door. The sitter must be in the bathroom or something. He walked out into the warm sun and began his trudge to his destination.

It didn't take long before Harold approached a dark blue house with signs in the yard. He walked up to the door, giving it a knock. A few seconds go bye before the door opens to a familiar grumpy man.

"Harold, what are you doing here?" He was surprised to see the blonde haired little boy at his door on Father's Day. Instead of replying, Harold snaps his fingers, with a small smile.

Mr. Krupp's facial expression changes, and he rips his cloths off and runs inside to get a cape, returning after a minute or two.

"Why, hello, sidekick!" Harold smiles at the friendly greeting as he kicks at the ground.

"I wanted to say Happy Father's Day, Captain Underpants." Captain Underpants gives Harold a confused look.

"I do not understand, sidekick. Do you not have a father to spend this marvelous day with?"

Harold begins to sweat, looking at his feet with a frown. The underwear clad hero instantly regrets his question at the despair in the blonde child's body posture.
