The Good In Me [Ziam]

Because I've been gone for a while I decided to do a real long chapter here. There is a small time jump so hope y'all dont mind.

"Thank you have a nice day!" Liam yells out as the lady gives him a 'thanks' and smiles before walking out. It's almost the end of his shift and so he begins to clean the counters and organize things.

"Almost time" Jade says excitedly sitting herself up on the counter that Liam is currently trying to clean.

"Yes which is why I'm trying to clean so move your bum" Jade glares and gets off so Liam could continue.

"So how're you and your boyfriend?"

"Zayn and I are just friends"

"Oh really because the past 2 months you two have been spending a lot of time together"

"Yea and so have you and Niall but you two are just friends remember?" Jade gives a stern face and flips Liam off "plus unlike you and Niall we don't occasionally make out"

"Not anymore?" Jade asks causing Liam to flip her off right back "I'm joking, but I don't know. Niall is a great guy and honestly I enjoy every moment I'm with him but I'm scared Li"

Liam furrows his brows confused "scared about what?"

Before Jade had a chance to respond, Henry comes up to them handing two envelopes with their checks "have a nice weekend you two" he says giving a big smile and leaving for the day. The two looked at each other lost because they haven't seen their manager this happy in a while.

"Well at least someone got laid" Jade speaks breaking the small silence, Liam opens his mouth about to ask Jade the question again but she goes off to help a guest at the register. He sighs knowing he probably won't get a chance to ask since she had plans and had to leave right after work.

It's been this way for a while now. Niall and Jade spent most of their free time together. Harry and Louis did as well but Harry would occasionally spend nights at their place. Then Zayn and Liam had their own little hangouts which surprisingly never escalated to anything more.

It was difficult at first, especially for Zayn, they had their moments that almost led to them kissing or more but one of them would realize and pull away. Liam was glad they're relationship was nothing more  since he knows Zayn must still be hooking up with other people. Although the thoughts of him doing so hurts Liam deep down, he chooses to ignore that feeling because he likes the way they are now.

Zayn on the other hand was struggling, but hiding it very well. With Niall and Jade constantly hanging out and Louis off with his mystery man, Zayn grew closer to Liam over the past two months. They both shared common interests such as comic books, drawing, music, super heroes, etc. This brought out more of Zayn as he grown to be more comfortable around Liam which made him happy but scared. He was afraid if he continued down this path, the small feeling in his chest that pulled him toward Liam would become more than just a feeling of wanting to hook up but become something serious that he hasn't felt in years.
