Chapter 5

Niall's POV

"How did you even got inside of my house?!" I glare at him. I stood up and look over at Zoe. She's bowing down and I can see her completely blush. I feel completely sorry. I wouldn't have done it, it might crept her out. I'm such a dumbass, as usual.

"Are you nuts?! My mom and I have a spare key of this house remember? I used to babysit this fucking house every Sunday when you and your family moved out right? And by the way, I use this house for a lot of parties when I throw some so thanks by the way. Hey, who is this?" she mentioned to Zoe. He can't see her face since she's looking on the ground, embarrassed.

"I gotta go," she started to stand from the floor. No, no. Fuck why do I have to shit all of this up! We're doing good and I started to fuck up!

"No, wait!" I reach out for her. I'm so sorry for what I've done. Shit, we might not be friends anymore. Or even worst, we might not see each other anymore.

"Zoe? What are you doing here?" Louis questioned. She gasped.

"Louis?!" she stopped in her tracks. Thank God.

Zoe's POV

"Louis?!" I stopped in my tracks. Why is he here? I can't believe it.

"Why are you here?" he asked again. He looks so confused.

"Long story," I begin to head to the front door again. I don't want to hurt Niall by going away without saying sorry to him. I should have just ignore his kiss before he leaned in a little closer. I didn't see that kiss coming, honestly. I like him, I think he is really handsome and all but I need to think this through. I have my training later on and it's already four in the afternoon.

"Wait!" They both stopped me. Honestly, I want to hear Niall's side too.

"Louis, I'm here to look for my phone because I may have dropped it here yesterday. After he gave me my phone, we hang out for a little bit. That's all." I explained to him before he can think of anything else. Thankfully, he seems to understand.

"Okay. I believe you. I am sorry for assuming things. I'm just gonna be by the lake." He headed to, I guess the back door, to go the the lake. When we came to the backyard last night, I don't really remember a lake.

"God, thank you for making Louis go away." I hear Niall sigh. He looked over me and begin to speak.

"Zoe, I am so sorry for the second time of the day. I have no intention to hurt your feelings. I don't even know what's happening to me. Fuck!" he started to pace back and forth in front of me. He looks amusing but I stop him by gently pulling his arms.

"It's okay really. I understand. We all make mistakes. We're still friends right? If you won't let what happened earlier to affect what we have now, then I'll try my best to. I know we only met yesterday, so I hope you understand what I felt earlier." I smile as I rub his shoulders to calm him down. He's still not talking.

"Honestly, the first time I heard Louis barge in the room, I thought it was someone else because he cussed a lot. When he was with Zayn and I yesterday, he didn't even have the guys to cuss." I laugh at the memory of Louis yesterday. It made Niall a little better based on the smile forming in his face.

"Yes, he's like that to new people. He wants to make people think he's a pussy, but he's really a douche bag." He looked at me probably looking for any signs of sadness in my face.

"Hey, what lake is he talking about? I don't even know there's a lake in this part of the town." I change the topic so we could talk about other things.

"Zoe, don't change the topic for my sake. My action earlier is so unforgivable. So let me explain my side too. Honestly, I don't know what's going on in my head right now. Maybe I am just, you know, hormones and stuff. I am so sorry. Fuck! If only I could rewind into that moment, I wouldn't have done it." His face is full of honesty and concern. I smiled a little bit and nodded. I checked the time in my phone and it's already 4:10 in the afternoon. I gotta go now.
