i'm sorry, Lateefa, i hope you read this,
i treated you so bad, i know i admit,
everything i said, everything i did,
i feel guilty, i hope you forgive.

i'm sorry, Lateefa, i know i made you cry,
i never saw the pain you hide,
i wish i never believed your sweet lies,
the guilt of my deeds, eating me inside.

i'm sorry, Lateefa, i was not a good friend,
i was too selfish, never saw your pain,
i never tried to understand the words you said,
i never tried to see inside your head.

i'm sorry, Lateefa. I never tried,
you made me laugh as you entered my life,
but i never did so, i only made you cry,
and now i'm the one who cry every night.

i'm sorry, Lateefa, for i never cared,
i was too busy talking about myself,
i never realised the pain that you felt,
i hope you forgive me, now that i beg.

i'm sorry, Lateefa, i forgot your feelings exists,
you took the brush as you painted your wrist,
and as a best friend, i never noticed,
the fresh scars and the story behind it.

i'm sorry, Lateefa, you had an eating disorder,
sorry to disclose, but know you were a fighter,
i regretted the moment i said you were dishonor,
i never admitted, but i know you're a survivor.

i now understand the things that you feel,
i was so stupid, i am a hypocrite,
i never apologized even as we split.

i was a terrible friend.

i was one of the reason your tears shed.

for everything i did.

if my life was a story, then she was my favourite chapter/ inspiring me, motivating me, changing me for better/ wish i could turn the clock around and relive those moments again/ she was one beautiful chapter, that i now, can only read/ i miss you dearly, my friend, i hope that you're ok.
